NOT a noob, just a noob question...
How the heck can I AAA songs? I am doing so much better, have been playing for a few months now, and have over a hundred FC's. But when I try to AAA simple freaking songs I can't. I don't know. I play spread and 1.75. Any tips? I'm just really frustrated...

2x is the way to go. ;D
Also, just whore the song or play it a couple of times during periods of times in the day for a couple of days. (Sounds a little redundant)

im actually getting better though, you have to focus on the beat the song is going at. what helps me is resting my wrists and playing, idk why it keeps me focused.. also recently i did a skill token where i had to get 700 combo, 20 or less goods, 0 or 1 miss or something.. on hardcore of the north.. i couldnt get that token at all.. but i actually got it when i didnt play it with the music lol. try those things it could work. sorry for rambling on |

Had the problem, played a lot, now I don't.
I wouldn't play 2x if I were you, its a bit too fast for most people.

Re: NOT a noob, just a noob question...
2x isnt a good idea.. i suggest 1.75x its the best way to go.
1.5x isnt good because its easier to get goods.. trust me, try that out... 1.25x and 1.0x are just too slow so dont try them 2.0x is just too fast youll either not catch the arrow in time and get a good, or youll hit it too fast and get a good.. 1.75x FTW |

Re: NOT a noob, just a noob question...
There are a few ways to AAA songs easily. I haven't bothered with AAA'ing songs yet but I know how to. One way is the obvious and its to hack...but that's just gay.
Another way is to make the speed a lot faster. If you normally play in 1.0x speed then move up to 1.50x or try and go for 1.75x. But if you can do it go for the full 2.0x and it should make the arrows better viewed. Only problem with 2.0x speed is that if its a very easy song, the timing between the arrows are a lot seperate so a arrow might randomly come out of nowhere right before the chorus or climax of the song starts and basically mess up your AAA run. Whoring the song also works. You can do any speed for this. Just play the song a **** load of times and try and memorize how the arrow keys are timed in the song and any specific random arrows that are offbeat here and there. Thats about it. Or you can go and get pro

Believe it or not..........
Headphones. If you dont hear the key taps you wont be as self concious while playing the game. I can play 2x better when I play with headphones. |

Re: NOT a noob, just a noob question...
Anyone can play 2x since it's not THAT fast and it looks like it makes the perfectGET region much bigger.
I don't understand why people wouldn't be able to do it with some practice... |

Re: NOT a noob, just a noob question...
I actually recommend 1.5 to be honest. Just experiment until you find something that works for you. OH, and knowing how to play more that one style will help in the long run as well.

Re: NOT a noob, just a noob question...
Well I was playing on 1.75 for the longest time and had a few AAA's. Then I switched to 2.0 and not only can I read songs a little easier, but I've gotten quite a bit more AAA's(not that I have a lot XD), but that isn't the point. I do suggest 2.0. What I did was play on it a little bit for a few days, more and more each day. I did this for about a week/week and a half. Then I was fully accustomed to 2.0 and I've done better on everything ever since.

Re: NOT a noob, just a noob question...
Whoever said to use a certain speedmod is an idiot.
It's a user prefrence.. To AAA better, start practice to PA, AAA easier songs, and while going up to harder songs, you'll start AAAing those. You can also play songs that are out of your skill limit. and start learning out to not mash.

Re: NOT a noob, just a noob question...
i find it the easiest to PA at 1.75x myself but everyone has their different tastes so whatever works for you. Im not saying though that speedmods help but screencut/speedmod seems to work best with everyone else

Re: NOT a noob, just a noob question...
I saw some post's saying lulz 2x and such. I would say like, 200ish if not more of my AAA's were on 1.75x, so uhh, yeah. Anyway, I can't really help for PA issues though, sorry, just saying 2x isn't needed for this -_-
