I'm sorry that I didn't read through most the post, I read the main 2, and hear that people are talking about playing on keyboard is stupid and such. Obviously, that isn't going to go by well with me, and probably many others, being this site is built around keyboard players.

This made me kinda angry being these pad players on sm are the people making suggestions as to what go in the game, when I don't even know any pad sm players, and even when I have met pad sm players on SMO, they're all horrible at pad, I respect them though, and I won't talk trash to anyone I don't know, who am I to say they suck and such, and yes, SMO has many pad players.

in the pad communities, everybody coexists peacefully. in that wondrous land, everybody has gumdrop smiles while they frolic in the misty afternoon sun. but those keyboard players, they drive me nuts! with their sarcasm, their ability to spell the word "peacefully", their relaxed attitude that should not be present when discussing StepMania.

The point is that pad players seem to be elitist for no reason. People are enjoying the same game in different ways. Are there more idiots that play keyboard than pad? Probably. They don't need buy a pad/adapter/etc. All they need is an account. Kids are more likely to be keyboard players, but it doesn't work the other way around. I like playing keyboard. There are also a lot more keyboard players out there so just as the rhythm players population increases there are going to be more idiots.

this is one thing, but every communities retards over-shadow the intelligents. its the same case with Keyboard players and our view upon them, except there's barely no way to make content for the game, which means no smart people

because stepmania is there to simulate dance games, and is the dev's number one priority? they arent making something for profit; pleasing everyone isnt there goal. And i never said i care if it helps cater to it. hell, im working on something that is probably more kb-orientated. i said it would be easier to do it yourself, as the dev's probably arent going to add more game modes now, as they have alot of currently unfinished stuff in sm4. (BM, GH, etc.)

The pad players I've confronted consider themselves to be better people than keyboard players.

Elitists: People who consider themselves to be better people than another group.

I think you're mistaking elitism for vanity, which of course will exist anywhere.

Don't expect me to disagree with you on the caliber of intelligence in the posts on stepmania.com. I think it would be a good thing to change, though.
