Karaoke Revolution
LOL what a joke! Apparently the game is for PS2 and you sing into a microphone along with the lyrics.
Can't wait to see the arcade version eh? |

^_^;;; I saw that at GameStop yesterday. I agree with you, it's a stupid idea for a game.
Heh... I laugh with you! |

Yes, it's stupid - until you try it. It's definitely a group/party game. I can't say I play it too often alone, in my boxers, in front of the television singing "Like A Virgin."

how the hell do they rate you? my parents got a singalong microphone thing and it rates then where if theres a sylable your supposed to hit, and theres a noise going in(aka you singing) then it helps your score, so i yelled into the mic for the whole thing, and i got a 10, lets hope the ranking system is more advanced than that

I have it. It's quite sweet. The technology is impressive. It grades you on rhythm and pitch. There's a little arrow on the side that shows your pitch so you can tune yourself for each note if you are off. It works quite well, though you can sing any lyrics you want or just go "lalalalalaaaaaa" as long has you hit the right pitch and rhythm.
Since its Karaoke, all the songs are songs that people have heard before (people tend to like to sing to songs they know already), so I doubt there's going to be any DDR-ish music in there in the future expansion packs they make. |

few people know that the reason FeQuency 3 isn't out yet is because Harmonix helped a crap-load to make Kareoke Rev...>.< NO! lol But yeah, this game is a party game for sure. It's funny! Heh...only FreQuency fans would recognize the great classic...Science Genious Girl! MWAHAHA! And it has Micheal Jackson too! lol

Since someone bumped this topic with a stupid comment, I'll update on this anyway.
"Frequency 3" was in no way affected by the development of Karaoke Revolution. Harmonix is debating whether or not they even want to develop a new game given disappointing sales the first two games received. For those who thought the first KR was bad, the song list for the second version does not impress me at all. It still plays the same but has extra characters, costumes, etc. I'll be waiting for Eidos' Get on da Mic. The E3 demo of it rocked KR to no end. |
