Sounds kind of like House of the Scorpion. Good book, there.

![]() Also, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is indeed a book. I haven't read it, but at my bookstore we certainly have more than a few copies. Seems pretty popular, I've had a few people ask for it.

I'm stuck reading chapters and chapters of Inventing America because I've neglected to do so recently.

I just finished reading Volume 3 Chapter 10 of a manga called, Variante.
( I'm waiting for some more chapters to be scanlated ) And now I am going to continue another one I have started called Hana Kimi. ( I am on Chapter 42, Page 2 ) Not that anyone really cares, hehe. Aside from manga, I haven't found any decent novels to read.

Just finished reading "Lord of the Flies" for a novel for English class.
I wish I could read more manga, but my parents will not allow me to buy them, and they are too lazy to drive me to the library. I wish I had a car and can legally drive. ![]()

That any good? His Pillars of the Earth has been grabbing my eye a lot, was considering giving it a look-see.

The Talisman, by Stephen King & Peter Straub.
I find it quite refined and enjoyable so far. |

I've been reading Angel of the Battlefield: The Life of Clara Barton (The story of the extraordinary woman who founded the red cross).
Eh I just get inspired by people who are/were nurses and rescuers in wars.

Just finished the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. It took me almost two months to read it since I couldn't find the books anywhere, and is now my favorite series that I've ever read. Need to find another good series to read now =\

Tomcat in Love by Tim O'Brien. Not sure how much I like it. O'Brien has always got sharp prose, but this feels way too light and meaningless for one of his books.
