Just had this thought a little while ago. What do you do when your in the middle of playing a song and the phone rings or there's a nock at the door or something else of that nature. I've noticed I've failed myself out of a game or just aborted and clicked to go back to the main page. Thus losing my score and not getting the credits. Well, here's my thought. What if we had a pause button? I know it would be ALOT of work for the programmers to get this up and running, but it just seems like a good idea to me at least. I don't know about the general populace of FFR if any of you run into the same problem as I do with the phone, someone at the door, parental nagging etc. ruining a really good game because you have to leave the game to fail you out, you just bail on it or just purposely fail. It's just a thought don't yell at me that it's a really bad idea or pointless. It's just a suggestion that someone might take to heart and end up turning into a reality.
Thanks for your time, Devious |

Really, though, if you pause the game you'd lose your spot. It'd be near impossible to pick up again seamlessly. Just fail out and start over.

That feature could easily be abused by continiously pause/unpause to slow down the game. And, anyway, it will maybe take 2-3 minutes to play the song again. I don't think it is worth the hours of programming needed for it.

this isn't happening. either ignore it and finish your game or respond to it and fail your game. not a biggie.

Rofl, no offense, that's the stupidest idea i've ever heard. The longest song on here isn't even 7 minutes, and most songs are just 2-3 minutes anyway. Is it going to kill you to waste 2-3 more minutes of your life to fail at the song anyway?

I thought about that a week ago or something, but then I realized it would be kinda hard to continue playing a song once you pause then unpause it.

not sure if any of you actually ended up reading my whole post.....i said it was a thought and that you shouldn't yell at me because it's a bad idea or pointless, not mentioned in my post but that goes for stupid as well. it was an idea, some people probably get annoyed. i know i do when i'm doing well in a song and the phone goes off or something it breaks my concentration and well i have ADD so it's easy to distract me then my game is screwed. it was a suggestion apparently not a good one or one that will ever be taken to heart but it's out there and maybe it could happen. we're all dreamers and some people's dreams come true.
Edit: @ tennyson: i thought about that to, but if you were good enough or it was a song you knew well and everything. or possibly a good spot where the song slows down or something it would be simple.

No one is yelling. We are simply giving our input to this thought. It is a stupid idea. "IMO". Doesn't mean it couldn't be your dream, I mean look at MLK. If something breaks your concentration, then you obviously have a short attention span, and can't stick to one thing. Zone out, and get into the game. Try putting on some headphones to play your music, so you cannot hear any surroundings. You want my idea for you if someone rings your doorbell, you yell "MOM, DOOR!!!" She'll probably yell at you, but who cares cause you just AAA'd Excite Bike.

my mom is the manager at a red lobster near my house and well her hours of work are insane most of the time it's just me and my brother at home. he gets on the computer and he's in a zombie like state so if someone is trying to call or is at the door i have to answer it. so i can't yell at my mother. if she's at home she's generally drawing up a months worth of schedules for about 80 people or sleeping or working on training things. or she'll be at work, travelling to or from work or just out for the night/day |

ADD is a myth anyway. Learn to concentrate. I did and guess what, it worked. Miracle cure on 34th street.

Have to disagree one that one....i have ADD while my brother has ADD and ADHD and ADD runs in my family. luckily it's not so severe that i'm on meds of any kind. i can concentrate on demanding tasks ie homework in school etc. but on things like games that don't need incredible amounts of concentration i dont' bother on trying to block out the world around me.

Ok, so lets see here, the times you play, theres always something distracting you. Whether it's the door or w/e. What would be the point in pausing a game? That's like saying your in a DDR Nonstop, and because your getting sweaty, they should pause it cause it's distracting. Tell no-one to visit you. Shut off anything that would possibly make noises or distract you. Animals or w/e can go outside. Or flush em down the toilet. That's what I did to my hampsters.

Isn't ADD & ADHD the same exact symptoms? Or how do you define if you have one and not the other, cause I thought they were the same thing. (Attention Deficit Disorder) I just didn't know you could have both. Maybe cause I don't have it, or ever study it, but that must suck. Like your having sex or something, and then something distracts her, and she just leaves, and your like ummm..

ADHD=very easily distracted and you are hyper beyond all reason all the time (almost always needs meds for the hyperactivity part) and yes it does suck alot. growing up when my brother was young no one knew why he was like he was. almost demanding running around screaming for no reason, defying everything anyone said and constantly having boundless energy 100 times more than any other "normal" child his age. and there are times where it's almost like the ADD shuts down. during my exams, during a dance performance. @polk your not hopped on sugar it's natural sugars in your body are out of wack, not in the dangerous levels like diabetes though. |

it's not just having energy enough to do things when you want it's having WAY to much ALL the time. causes things like lack of sleep, eating and just general exhaustion from constantly going because you have too much energy to sit still for a while then when you do finally get to rest it's not for long. and i don't have the ADHD i just have ADD
