Hello guys. I made a new song called Storm Sanctuary.
About the setting: It's a place in a story for a video game that I keep on thinking of creating. The place is where everything in the beggining happens and it is supposed to be protected from storms, but eventually the place will be full of nothing but storms. The main character will have to sail through this place. Even though I imagine using a past and present time in the game (not only will the story change, but the music will be a bit more techish than orchestral in the future), I will make some reason for the main character to sail through this stormy place as opposed to using some flying vehicle. This song should make you think of outerspace or sailing through a body of water at night. I was influenced to make this song by the rythm of snares in a song I heard. To check it out, go to http://www.reverbnation.com/motf I know that it's not necessarily complete or anything, but tell me what I can do with what I have so far in the song or if I should add anything within the current length of the song. |

-It's suffering from FL Syndrome. You sometimes want to avoid using the preset instruments and definitely want to avoid the vocals that they give you (except for the speech files. You can do whatever you want with those.).
-Rather repetitive. -If I'm not mistaken, the percussion is playing in quarters, while the rest of the song is playing in triplets. I don't recommend doing that unless it's a break or something of that nature. -The melody and chords don't seem to line up. |
