Best Month Ever! (100 AAAs in 2 weeks... and [Oni] token)

Did I mention it was all index? Yes, February '08 will go down in history as my best month EVER in FFR. During the month:

I got my 200th public index AAA - {Rose} http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=87700

I got 100 public AAAs in about 2 weeks. - After #200, which occurred mid-month, I decided to see how many AAAs I could get before the month's end. It was a lot, as it turns out.

I got my 300th public index AAA - Vertex BETA!!! (See [Oni] token.)

I got the Otaku Speedvibe [Heavy] token - The Games We Played, Part 4 AAA.

I got 9 new index FMO FCs - AIM Anthem, HELLBEAT, Lawn Wake IV, Turkish March, Choprite, FOTB, Balloon Fever, Strangeprogram, and Silence (finally).

I got my average level rank down below 100.

I hit 100000 credits.

Again, I haven't conquered the universe with my majestic fingers of might just yet, but I'm getting closer.

On a side note, it's becoming increasingly difficult to remain an indexer in this world (especially since the release of Blooddrunk, which caused me to die inside a little bit), but I intend to keep the race alive as long as I possibly can. Is it a pointless endeavor? Maybe... but I hope not.

Honestly, I think boasting about index is kind of annoying. Sure your scores are good by any means, but the fact that you play index is nothing special. There are plenty of people who index and don't even mention the fact that they do. I'm not trying to attack you persay, but the fact that you need to specify that you are index as if it was some sort of mental handicap is kind of dumb. Seriously, you should try taking up spread. Even if you don't switch over to it right away you should start learning it now so that you have a back up playing style.

While that is amazing, you still use two hands, so you're not truly an indexer. An indexer uses one hand only..you used two, just on the same set of arrows. Basically, the exact same setup as a spread player arrow wise.

Still, getting an AAA on Vertex Beta is downright amazing! And congrats on your AAAs.

P.S Bender, though bragging about index is annoying, that's an accomplishment that deserves bragging about. And I consider him spread, personally. And also, indexing IS much harder than spread, and if a spread player gets an AAA on a Difficult song, it's great. If a one-hander gets that same AAA....omfg. So yeah.

Binary, spread is where you use 2 hands AND 4 or more fingers. Split is 3 fingers, 2 hands, and index is 2 fingers 2 hands. One hand with one index finger is considered 1-finger, or just one handed.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, Index is not even close to spread, and wtf, index isn't one hand, it's using 2 fingers, one from each hand, so yes, he is a true indexer.

Ok, my apologies (It looked like he was using 4 fingers btw, but when I looked again it was 3). I will rephrase it. Using 2 hands gives you a gargantuan advantage over somebody with 1 hands. He plays split, not index.

Still, that does not take away from his accomplishments, which blew me away.

i agree with bender, it's annoying when the indexers brag, and it's even more annoying when they use it as a handicap in mp "omg the only lreason you beat me is cuz i play index and that makes me awesome cuz i finished the song playing index"
people should choose their playing style, and leave it at that, don't need to boast

Just to clarify, in the video (and in general) I use only my 2 index fingers. Nothing else.

Wow. I never expected an anti-index-boast backlash. For the record, I don't use my style as a mental handicap or a reason to complain. As far as I'm concerned, if you willingly choose to play index, you don't have the right to complain about how you can't do all the things that spread players can do. However, if AAAing a song playing index is considered to be harder than AAAing the same song playing spread, I think I have a right to mention it... especially if I'm posting on the Brag Board. (This goes for a number of other things as well. No one ever gets on Stepmania players for mentioning the mods they use...)

Also, I should note that I am starting to pick up spread on Stepmania, simply because there are a lot of great songs out there that simply can't be done with two fingers. Basically, anything with hands. Although, I don't use it unless indexing is completely out of the question (which may be the case with some of the upcoming FMO/FGO songs).
