Re: FFR St. Presidents' Groundhog Day Contest Thread
It was a rough choice but I'd have to say George W. Bush because after reading the context... this Groundhog doesn't know it's head from it's ass XD

I'm going to go with Abraham Lincoln because after that fall the groundhog might not be able to walk, and Lincoln could carry him around in his awesome hat.

Re: FFR St. Presidents' Groundhog Day Contest Thread
Well, this is simple enough. It all started in 1986...when Punxsutawney Phil traveled to Washington D.C. to meet with President Reagan. While the two were in a tree enjoying Earl Gray tea and discussing "Reaganomics", Phil blurted about a movie he had "recently" seen called Taxi Driver(NOTICE! Phil is a HUGE fan of Taxi Driver!) and Phil soon fell to the ground...landing on his tail. Reagan was deeply apologetic on his actions and was also believed to have said(Source: Fez, the Iranian garden worker) "All in all, I'd rather be in Philadelphia". Reagan and Phil were soon united in love....until Reagan dumped Phil for a twin-headed Elvis clone named Shirley.

We all know it would be William Henry Harrison. Odd, but yet he is my distant relative. |

Re: FFR St. Presidents' Groundhog Day Contest Thread
Every credit-based contest I do is purely through random selection. The post order determines the lot number and random.org is used to compile the appropriate number of lots at random. I need to get one of those huge bingo cages and make a spectacle out of these contests...
We reserve skill/thought-based contests for subscriptions, cash and merchandise. I made a slight exception with the sub I gave away for this contest, but even then, you had to have the luck of picking a president without knowing about the contest and then be randomly chosen among that pool of entries, so it was sort of a double-luck entry. Really, the whole presidential thing was to make this contest a little more interesting than the normal "I'm in" posts.
