Here's a partial review. I didn't actually play on the pad, but I'm a pretty good judge at telling what's fun and what isn't on the pad while playing on the keyboard. Besides, most of the files in here are to hard for me... I can't really survive anything above a low 11 because I haven't played for half a year. Making multiple charts is cool, people. (Light-Challenge)

If I gave a 5 or less, then I doubt I'd play the file again. If I gave a 5.5 or higher, it was at least entertaining and I would probably play it again.

All of the World - Uh, okay, most of these steps don't make sense, nor do they flow. I guess it was kind of cool after 300 combo, but still really off. lol @ the minifreeze at 200 combo. 3/10

Angel Stays on this Ground - Generally a lot of the same issues as All of the World, but maybe a little more enjoyable, and flows a little better at parts. Should have followed the song a bit more accurately though. 4/10

Aztec Templing - Gap...? Not bad, but could have been stepped more interesting. Macgravel's edit is way better anyway. 6/10

Beethoven Virus - I quit out when 24ths started popping up. 24ths + some patterns = no for pad. File wasn't that bad otherwise, but stuff like that ruins the whole thing. 2.5/10

Below the Surface - Wow, this file is just a bunch of random garbage with really awkward, unfun patterns, and jacks. Sucks because I like this song =( 1/10

Bomb the Base - Quit out. Just wasn't fun, sorry. NA/10

Brightone - Pretty cool, but that's a not a surprise. I still like my edit more, but this was fun. 8.5/10

CIA Rave - Blech, why would you step CIA Rave? To many non-pad friendly stream patterns that force crossovers. Random jacks. 24ths that, uh... don't follow the song. I liked a few things that you did with this, but the bad things overshadow them. Not fun. 3/10

Dazzling Destiny - Eh, to many freezes. The ending was a little over the top on pad. I'll just stick to playing this index, thank you very much. 7/10

Demon Fire - I could maybe enjoy this if I was a gajillion times better. I'll just stick to playing it index. 8/10

Exciting Hyper Highspeed Star - Played it, but quit out at loop because my file is infinitely better. 3.5/10

For FFR - I quit because the steps didn't have any connection to the song, and the BPMs were on crack. 0/10

Gaussian Blur 2 - A lot of holds seemed unecessary. Some parts were understepped. Overall, nothing amazing. (Not a 14 either) 5.5/10

House Leaves - minifreezes... Heck a lot of holds were dumb. Seemed pretty fun otherwise. 8/10

Life Light - Really fun chart with fun patterns. That 16th burst that makes you switch feet was not cool though, but that's the only error I saw. 9/10

Naisaodakunyan - Pretty fun, but a few awkward patterns near end. 8.5/10

Over the Rave - Gay jacks. 32nd trills are pretty gay on the pad. Would have liked to see more creativity, but whatever... 6.5/10

Party 4U - Okay, this wasn't bad, but I quit out because of the colored-note syndrome. wtf? NA/10

Roller Coaster Ride - Random jacks, random jumps, a few awkward patterns. Lacks flow in general. 3.5/10

Secret Zombie Room - I guess the gallops aren't a bad idea, and this is better then your other file, but this is lacking a 11+ chart and still isn't that great because it should flow with the drums a lot better. 4.5/10

Shihen - Challenge: Chains = owww... Generally obnoxious patterns. Random jacks. The hold streams were pretty unnecessary, and I lol'd at the random hold near the beginning. Heavy: Patterns are still really random and awkward. I didn't like the way you switched from following the lyrics to other sounds. Better then Challenge. 5/10

Snowflakes - That was stupid. It just kept looping the same thing over and over... 2/10

V1 - Yeah, maybe that 16th stream wasn't all a bad idea, but a little less of it would have been nice. 32nd trills aren't necessarily pad friendly. Some awkward stream patterns, but mainly lacks variety, if anything. 4.5/10

Z - Maybe a few dumb patterns, but that's it. 9/10

Excuse me, but I know very well what I'm talking about. I've been playing dance games for many years, and playing on pad or keyboard doesn't affect the quality of the file. This is a big pack, I'm expecting quality, so I'm going to be harsh.

Excuse me, but from reading your review I'll have to say that you need to play a few of these on pad to get what the goal was. [NOTE: as far as the pack goes, I dont care much for it since alot of this stuff was stepped as if it was KB and some files are just dumb. Im just commenting on the fact that just cuz you play on KB doesnt mean you know what the goal is on pad.]

As an example, I'll use what you said about Snowflakes

Quote:
Snowflakes - That was stupid. It just kept looping the same thing over and over... 2/10
It looped? Maybe since it is a low rated pad file I decided to have similar patterns throughout this short song (it is, indeed, a rather short and simple song compared to alot of stuff in this pack) When playing on pad you arnt as worried on it being layerd or changing patterns so drastic as you are on KB. On heavy, it is ment to be fun yet not that hard.

So the goal here is to make a simple chart. It went perfect with the Oni chart which--even tho it repeated itself--threw some hands and mines in the mix making it a really hard file. If there is any fault with the file it is due to the simpleness of the song itself, but who can deny that it is well liked on FFR?

Surfer all I gotta say is that your really bad at judging pad file no offense and you said that to yourself too. You don't know what's fun about pad files. I agree most of the review of Xiao did but yours not really.

[4/5]
Snowflakes - MML
Went with the song just fine - wouldn't be too hard on pad. Rather fun, actually. There are a few parts I disagreed with, though.

a) 8th note hands that transitioned to feet too quickly
b) hands when holding UL with feet (crab hands, big nono)
c) UDUDUD hands while holding LR - extremely awkward on pad

The ending was a little excessive, but I won't subtract because of it, because it fit like snowflakes <3

Life Light - that sexy Flipsta Lombax
Minor pad errors at best, steps go with the song.

I thought it was already updated my bad. And yeah I'm still here watching how all of you guys whining about the pack. Only pad player understand how to judged pad files specially with experience of playing for a long time. Bomb the base step is a fun for a pad file but I guess it wasn't fun for sulfer and you called yourself been playing for yrs lol. I would really want to see atleast old video of you playing beating a 13 footer song and I'm sure you got one of those since you said you've been playing for a while b4. Even I stop for 1 yr and half not playing and got my stamina back in like 2 or 3 weeks. So also I'm sure you got ITG groovestats too.

Now Now kids.
Stop flaming each other.
I think Sulfer means he has experience with Stepmania for years not DDR or ITG or anything Pad.
And I agree with flip. KB Experience =/= Pad Experience

And that's why were going to make a FFR KB Pack! Who's with me?

Oh, okay, if it makes you guys happy. I'll play the files on the pad. In fact, I'll do it right now, and show you how little my opinion of the files changes. I'm not going to bother arguing with anyone. I'll just go do it.

it's perfectly possible to develop an opinion of a pad file on kb. i played most of the files on pad yesterday, but before that i had already decided which ones i was NOT going to play based on playing it index.

I wouldnt listen to anything Sulfer has to say regardless, he just got scrutiny over half of this and no matter what happens he will stick to his opinion when he didn't play it on pad
