CIA Rave

To me it's one of the hardest songs, I could do really well in it yet i'm still barely 9,500th in the song. Is there a way to easily counter the arrows?

The current method I use is 3 finger 1 hand. It's gotten me to where I am now, with 162 FCs and 20 AAAs. Yet for some reason I always seem to struggle at CIA Rave. Why is this so? Is there a solution to do better in this song? (besides practise).

well, CIA Rave has lots of streams, which makes you strain your hand. My advice is to try to spread it, if you can. I can almost FC it spread, but miss like 100 on 1-hand. or you can whore it, or try an easier song with streams and such, and then try CIA Rave again..

Well here's a replay of me on CIA Rave. I only missed 21, yet I placed 9,500 something.

My hand normally dosen't cramp until the very end of the song.

It's still very rough though.

I probably should have added the replay in on my first post. Any tips using the replay as a guide?

This song is very easy on spread, and lots of people play spread. This is why your otherwise decent score is ranked 9500.

And its a really old song. Even if you only have around 10 goods your rank would prolly still be around 400-600.

Took me 2 years to FC one handed...just practice or switch. and my 10 goods was 800ish...

It is not very easy on spread.... it's very easy on index. 100% index friendly stream.

Also, it's one of the oldest songs on FFR, and was one of the only "hard" songs on FFR at the time it was around... so many many many many people have played it. Combine the 2 factors, and it becomes VERY hard to get a good rank on it, compared to a comparable score on an equally difficult song.

I can't explain to you how much i hate this song. I play 3 fingers 2 hands and i absolutely could NOT FC this if my life depended on it, but i've FC'd very challenging songs before.

I'm a one hander too, and like you am ranked terribly on it, if it weren't for my absence of play (causing me to have multiple 0's on songs) it'd be my lowest rank, goes right from 4k to 8k :/

this is the hardest song in FFR to AAA (that is easilly fc'able) IMO

I really suggest switching playing styles. I can't imagine how playing with two fingers would be easier than playing with three, but I guess I will recommend index ^_^ I play spread and it's not too hard though :)

Looking at your profile, our FCs vs AAAs are very similar, along with our average overall + overall.

What exactly is the best index method? all fingers on the keypad, all fingers on the numberpad or both?

My preferred method is 3-finger 1 hand, where I have 3 fingers with my right hand (3 middle ones) around the arrow keys. Obviously it isn't the best way to do that song.

Blue Arrow, it was played 1 to many times, a FC with 12 0 0 0 which I had at one time ranked me 999 rofl
