So, I know the point your trying to get across is that you should use proper grammar and all, but you included 'lol' in your little list of things not to say in a post. That's a little over the top dontcha think? If everyone typed with perfect grammar in every post, the forums would be very generic.
I'm one of the few that hardly breaks any of 'your rules.' This is kind of like asking all of the newbs to do something that nobody else does. Not only do they not read the stickies, they don't care if their grammar is correct and run spell-check like 150 times to make sure its post appropriate.

Wait...I have a question. So we cannot use words like "omg" and "lol"? Those are the only two "aim lingo" words I use on public forums. I sometimes use "omg", but I usually type it out. As for "lol", I use that a lot. Like this:
"This summer I played DDR at an arcade, but couldn't figure out how to change the difficulty so I ended up losing within the first few seconds. I also made a huge fool of myself. (: lol." (true story, by the way) I use LOL to show I'm making fun of myself. I really know no other way (other than physically [sp?] laughing) to show it. Also, when I think I spelled a word wrong, I put "(sp?)" after the word to show that I'm not careless, just not a good speller. Is this all allowed? |

Don't double post... that makes even FFR gods go from Hero, to Zero (if anyone catches you!
). Also don't be a *** in general.

Cool and all... BUT
5. Veteran Respect: There are a lot of members who have been on this site much longer than you. They have earned their respect, and expect to be respected. Just be intelligent and all will be well. Common courtesy is all anyone needs. Totally disagree with this one. Respect is subjective; You dont just respect someone because everyone else does. A well known player/ veteran can still be a jackass. It sounds silly to respect a veteran do to his or her playing ability. FFR wise you should respect a veterans opinion but then again the community is not neccesiraly centered around FFR anymore. Veteran: -Says something retarded and totally not funny..- Newbie: That was totally not funny. Veteran: STFU YOU ARE A NEWBIE SO THEREFORE YOU MUST LAUGH. RESPECT MUH AUTHORITAH! Everything else is cool though. |

He's right though. Some regs are fags that can not and will not be respected by me, any other regs or newer players.

I agree with most of the suggestions, except I think that using really difficult language could also be considered a bad thing as half the people reading it probably won't understand what you meant. (not that you find this to be a problem very often)
