People hack the site and give themselves unattainably high scores. I don't think the admins can do anything about it right now, but the new version of the game (currently being worked on) is supposed to be much more secure so hacking shouldn't be a problem once it comes out.

oh yeah, and most a bunch of people have gotten all perfects
so if you got all perfects, the percentage would be higher, but still. People use hidden arrows and stuff.

On basically all easy levels, you can't get a high score anymore without cheating. And I think that bites because I wish I could get at least one high score in the top ten. You have to do insanely good on a more difficult level in order to make the top ten.

Yeah.... I agree with tasselfoot.... I got 8th place on some silly hihop song that i wish never to play again....
Secondly... Your score isn't all that great on that song... You shouldn't complain about not being able to make the top10 when you aren't even in the top3000.... lol... trust me... there aren't 3000 hackers.... You should probably at least get 15th place or something, THEN post how you got ripped off from your top10 ranking cuz of the 7 or so hackers and hidden arrowists.... lol....

There's lots of songs that you can AAA and still not even be tied with 10th... I think a AAA on mario gives you like a rank of 30 something. That's ridiculous. Oh well, R2 should be available soon.

zajac does have a point. You were 31 arrows away from a perfect combo. A PC is the best you can do so you do have some room to improve your score. I'm not about to look up the scoring system, but get a PC and you should see a boost in your score. I don't know how many people are hacking the site and keeping legitimate scores off the top 10 lists. About all I can say is the best I've done so far is 16th place on Trip to the Moon when I managed to PC it (my first and so far only perfect combo). I should have posted a screen shot in my thread on the Brags board. Since I doubt I got 100% of the highest score, there are probably some hacks/cheats on that list, but I'm not sure how many. I didn't bother to check the list knowing it only shows 10 and I was 16th at the time.

one time i played an easy song and got a high score, but it didnt show up on the list, or maybe it just has to update so next time you play it, it appears

The thing I look for most in a song are the 9th, and 10th places on the high-score list. If at least the 10th and 9th scores are the same, you can bet that they're both all perfect scores, but if they're different, then you can get on the list by PC'ing it. Like Blank Knowing, it's a decently hard song, but not too hard, but if you PC it or come close you'll get on the high-score list (at least it was that way the last time I checked).

imo, the only way they can do this properly is to blow up all of the scores and start from scratch. there's no practical way of filtering out all the fake scores since scores under the maximum may be fake too. so unless you have the step and combo stats for each person, good luck fixing this.

btw. the scoring system is really stupid. why do you get 50 for a perfect during a song and 500 for a perfect at the end of a song? it makes no sense! why don't you just give 550 for a perfect step at one time?

i'm not coming back until it's all fixed and fair. and because of that, i'm not going to see any responses to this post. i'm gonna go play dance dance revolution, which is far better than this.
