Your pushing a young kid to play DDR and be the best? what the hell are you thinking? Let the little guy grow up and decide what kind of life/hobby he wants to do for himself. pushing a game on someone just for the sake of seeing if you started earlier if you would be better is cruel. Let him find his own way of being happy Using a little boy for a "experiment" that wont even help anyone....Let the kid be himself. |

Wow, chill out Lar, you're acting as though the guy is putting a gun to the kid's head and forcing him to play DDR. So he introduced the little guy to DDR at a young age, big deal? He'll probably be bored after a few minutes and go back to playing with his teletubbies. You're right on one thing though, this isn't a CT thread.

Just like anything, if you start at a young age in theory you would have more playing experiance at an older age making you better.

Maybe your right, maybe I was overracting to what he was saying....
Still, it's a really stupid thing to do regardless. |

Heh, I did the same. I got my 10 year old cousin who lives with me hooked on DDR, he's playing in the room with me now as we speak. Burning Heat on Standard
They grow up so fast...

Just please let him play for fun. I can't stand those ub3r 1337 "I art holier than thou, my s*** doesn't stink" DDR players.

i started ddr when i was 7 (yes 1st mix), its not just about starting, its about PA, make sure he does THAT early, have him care about his scores.
i didnt care about my scores til 05, and people that started in 07 have better FA/PA than me, although my stamina is win. Last edited by [TeRa]; 01-10-2008 at 08:06 AM.. |

I'll just say one thing. If it had not been for DDR, I probably would never have known what it meant to be in shape. Even though other workouts may be better, they are just too plain boring and if you Really get into DDR on those maxes, you may be getting in shape really fast. If you start to play DDR on your own, I find no objections. Find stepmania songs to put on a computer hooked up to a big screen T.V. with a metal dance pad hooked up to the computer through a USB port XD.

I wold train him by beating him with a whip every time he hit a good. I would whip him hard for 8 years until he AAAA'd everything! Then I would beat him somemore cause he surpassed me. Then I'd would upload his videos as my own and become a legend.
I AREN'T LEGEND

The picture just adds to the creepiness of this thread.
I say let the experiment begin!
