lol, its hardly an RPG. Its just an extra way to spend your credits, and something good to look at when you do a song.

EDIT: Besides, this will mainly affect FFR's population. Sites with characters proved to have a high pop. of users. With a high increase of users would spur subscriptions; thus, increasing FFR's revenues by A LOT.
