Well, if everybody knows how come I saw about 10 or so posts talking about the same topic at hand that I stated in my initial post? Obviously not. You just got bored and decided to get on my case. If it helps you sleep at night, then go for it. |

Lies.
That's nowhere near life. That's the internet. Life doesn't tell you suck some more if you lose your job. Life doesn't tell you, go get a job, girlfriend, and car loser. That's why I like life. In life, people aren't total dicks to your face. |

Who are you kidding? There are plenty of people in life that are like that.

Except for the first half-life of course.
Plus, I found buying it for 25$ on PC quite a bit more reasonable, even if it was for somebody else's christmas present. I still get to watch them play, which is enjoyable in itself. P.S. Portal gave my father motion sickness XD |

I haven't played sports since I was around 15 and playing in a backyard. And back when I was playing in the backyard noone ever called me a jerk for catching the damn thing. In life, SOME people will help you if you're not doing well and will compliment you when you are doing well. Remember. My comment was directed after the apparent insulting of: "A good community would be one that understands there will be varying people of different skill levels. The un-avoidable truth. But on Halo 3: If you own.. "Oh, you have no life" If you suck.."Lol, what a noob" It gets really old, really fast." Besides. You have a team in competative sports. Do they tell you that you suck nooblet when you drop a ball? Or do they say, don't worry man. You'll get it next time. |

Oh so let's all throw slander at each other because you do it all the time.
That makes sense. Throw slander in a professional sport and you will not be playing a game for a while. Throw slander in a public team sport and you'll be thrown out of the game. It doesn't matter what level of professionalism you play a sport in; you just don't do it. Ever. In online frag-fests, slander is thrown immediately regardless of whether you really are doing terrible or not. If you die, prepare to face ridicule. Who cares that you got ten kills before you died for the first time? You died! That means you suck! Observe as I represent your suckiness with this physical motion of crouching repeatedly above your face! Last edited by Squeek; 12-31-2007 at 02:00 AM.. |

Who said it is okay? Quote it because I don't recall saying it was okay. I'm pretty sure I said GET OVER IT and then someone said life doesn't contain that and I said YES IT DOES. Where did you see "TRASH TALK IS OKAY!!!111"? "Throw slander in a professional sport and you will not be playing a game for a while. Throw slander in a public team sport and you'll be thrown out of the game. It doesn't matter what level of professionalism you play a sport in; you just don't do it. Ever." "Slander" is thrown in professional soccer all the time. France vs Italy World cup. Thats just 1 example to prove that wrong. Anyways, Xbox live is not professional. So don't compare it. Also I said competitive, not professional. "In online frag-fests, slander is thrown immediately regardless of whether you really are doing terrible or not. If you die, prepare to face ridicule." Considering immature little kids or teenagers make up most of the people on halo, it should be expected. Thats what the MUTE option is for. And if "tea bagging" offends you then LOL @ YOU Last edited by l2awr; 12-31-2007 at 03:34 AM.. |

ignorance much? 1) "Get over it" pretty much interprets as "I think it's OK to do it" 2) I didn't say "nobody throws insults around". I said that you're not supposed to. There are rules in place. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the parties involved in that match received punishments, did they not? 3) Again, read. I said even unprofessional competition has regulations to prevent insults among competitors. 4) Not having played Halo for more than an hour, I don't know what the online experience is truly like. I couldn't stand the boring gameplay in single player and I hate online multi player, so it was a win/win for me to switch to a better game. 5) Teabagging is a non-verbal insult. It also falls into the category of punishable offenses in competitive events. A fist pump in the direction of the opposite sideline is an offense more severe than almost any other penalty in a sporting event. Why did every professional and non-professional sporting organization prohibit verbal and non-verbal insults? Because it's rude and unnecessary. It has no place in society. Whether you know the person you're talking to or not makes no difference. |

Sounds like somebody's mommy didn't teach him how to be a good sport. =(

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O |

Also not ALL competition is in a league. I can go up to my basketball court and hear trash talk all the time. Guess what? They are competing and they are playing to win. Quote:

"It has no place in society" Ya, but its in our society whether you like it or not, so "GET OVER IT". Instead of arguing with me over what you THOUGHT I MEANT by "Get over it" you should have been like "Yes l2awr is right, there IS slander in our society and in everyday life", which is what I stated after that other kid said there WAS NOT. Competitive sports was just ONE example. If you did that then you would not have wasted yours and my time. |
