Question: Are we getting a 2007 SotY? I remember MAX Forever being last year's SotY, and I wanted to see another cool song as this year's song of the year.

Isn't Dragons Bane the song that hi19 really wanted in the game?

I thought it was MAMA.

Either way all of todays files were fun.

I really liked the dBu song and dragon's bane, the ending was epic.

Air Breeze was stepped really interestingly, not many files like that.

max forever was 2006 SotY. No SotY for 2007. Up to Rebirth in terms of one for 2008... he's working on it though.

Life Light stood out to me. =) Awesome file, awesome song from ASK and it's very fun. Best file thus far, IMO.

Yea, Dragon's Bane is awesome. The others are better than expected from me but still not up to par with hi19's. Awesome job.

Haha, I totally forgot about the ending and it raped me XD

Reminds me a lot of For FFR.

Thanks for the comments. And though I really liked Dragons Bane, MAMA is definitely my favorite file I've ever made, ever. With the possible exception of Excite Bike (lol)

Dragons Bane file is awesome, pretty well made.

Life Light was weird. Some parts were actually pretty cool, but the rest of file was like OMGWHATAREYOUDOING. Finally, Cyanite did something right. Too bad it's 1/15 of a whole file!

Day 6 - Legendary Lunar Saturation Etude
Posted in FFR News, Flash Flash Revolution, Game Announcements, Simfiles, Song of the Week on December 19th, 2007

For those who enjoyed Pupil of Frenzy yesterday, we’ve got a back-to-back touhou sighting with today’s release of Lunar Saturation, and SUN3 arrangement of the song by ZUN. Stepfile is by Rebirth0, so you know it’s good. 24 4-framers fill this 185bpm file, with most coming in an intense ending. Definitely a 10.

Legendary Etude is our first song by AEROJET since last year’s FFRmas event, when we released Kick It. Stepfile is by hi19hi19 and is a pitch-relevant classical remix type song. Not too bad, 150bpm streamy song with lots of trills and runningmen. But watch out for the ending! 9 on the difficulty scale.

Songs in Hip-Hop… and I’m hungry.

Should be rank 11 because finaaal "AAA'd" the song.

Edit: 24-1-0-1 Rank 8 (7)

Uh, what is with hi19 and his uber hard endings that are 50x more difficult the the rest of the song? This is probably worse then Dragons Bane, though. Why can't the beginning ever be the hardest part? That way we don't have to play through the whole song to mess up, and then get pissed because we have to play through the entire file again.

I like TBotM a lot more then Lunar Saturation, especially the song.

It's called climax theory.
