Default Fricking Windows problem

I'm having trouble with Windows 2000. Lets say I open a new window of Internet Explorer. The icon in the bar keeps flashing. Then, when I open another window, it does the same thing, except that I cannot go back to my frst window unless I minimize the current window.

It does that for everything, and its fricking annoying.

If anybody has a solution, please let me know.

PS: I've tried scanning with Spybot S&D, ad-aware, norton and all those sh!ts, but nothing works.

Reinstall Windows. I mean, you lose all your crap and it may or may not work but hell, you probably shouldn't listen to me, I'm a bad influence.

Whatever you do, don't impose malicious intent onto your computer itself, even if there's a virus on it.

Instead of asking all the retards we have here, try over at experts-exchange or try searching google for that specific problem.

Get fucking Opera or Mozilla. IE is the biggest piece of crap browser ever to exist (right after AOL).

Easy solution:

<EDITED: Do to worthlessness and unfunny-ness...and slight boredom on Jewpinthethird's part>

"Madam! MADAM! I believe you dropped this back at the corner." said the man slightly out of breath.

"Why! Thank you kind sir! I dont know what I would have done without it! Oh, how can I ever repay you?" exclaimed the very greatful women.

"No replayment is needed madam, I did this out of the kindness of my heart." Said the man no with a grand smile across his face.

"Well, there must be something I can do...oh! I kno-"

"No thank you madam...I am a homosexual" Interrupted the man as he skipped off waving and smiling into the sunset.

Yeah, but AOL has thousands of little superflous icons and whatnot that pop in my face and scare the crap out of me. It's like IE + Shit + $ = AOL.

Ugh. Real suggestions.

If you have another computer in the house and you're networked to it, send the important files to that computer and reformat your present one. Your computer should have come with a recovery disc that will bring it back to factory settings and clear up any problems. If you don't have another computer, you could also burn it all to CDs or buy another harddrive to temporarily store it on.
