bah, he has a right to be arrogant. ha, i'm a good bit arrogant myself, though a majority of
you have no idea who i am. and i was under the impression that this place was
kindof a "family" or something... where people that have problems, ie depression or whatever,
can talk about them and meet new friends. maybe i was wrong.

laharl, its all good. youre cool in my book... or would be if i had a book... stupid cliche.

Casey, you're a cool guy. Why else would "the group" be going down to your place?

Four more days, btw.

To value the opinion of half the people who vote is a mistake anyway.

Mixed feelings, I would lean toward no. You're obviously hella smart, you've got a lot of social issues, and I can see how you'd love the fact that the internet is a great equalizer. But what everyone is saying is true. You are arrogant, sardonic, sarcastic to the point of it being offensive, and far too intolerant of others' opinions. However, its more likely than not that the feelings are mutual, so I'm not going to pretend that I think you'll care very much about my post.

Intolerance suggests I hate people for having opinions contrary to my own. I don't agree with other people, and if I strongly disagree, I will point out flaws in their opinions, sure. You do that yourself, though. I think everyone that argues on a daily basis does that.

I actually have more to write, but I've got work in ten minutes.

You're cool... but man, you need to stop being a pansy. You're a pushover. You overanalyze everything. There's a lot of shit wrong with you, and I'm hoping you're figuring it all out and possibly seeing someone about it.

The crap I give you is called tough love. I'm not going to baby you and put up with your whining. Only you can change who you are. I, for one, am working on myself as well. We all want the best for you.

I think Lararl's pretty cool. I've only talked to him about once or twice on msn but judging from his posts he's one of those SUPER SUPER honest types, speaks his mind and sticks to his own points of view. Of course, people who are blatantly obvious can sometimes get people pissed off... but yeah he's an overall nice guy. just needs to work a bit on the self esteem.

On the contrary, I only post my logic so others can find fault in it. Then I can change or improve it, and use it in the real world.

What the hell else am I going to call it?

Somehow, the "I'm tired of bullshitting: Do you think I'm alright or not?" didn't sound quite right as a thread title.
But it is what you're really asking of everyone.

I've even said, multiple times, AND inside of threads (not just in the chatroom) that my name is Casey and I'd rather people call me by that.
I refuse to call you my your real name, Laharl, mainly because I know you can't be that bad in person.

And? That influences how I name my threads how?

[/quote]I DO KEEP A JOURNAL. The link is in my signature here and on pretty much every other message board I go to.

And do tell how old you are. I'm 18. Older? Younger? Think I really care either way?

guys... lets take a step back and look at this for a second. we're arguing about things like "the title of this thread" and whether someone keeps a journal or not. clearly neither of those is this issue that needs addressing here... so i dont see any need to argue about things that are irrelavent.

so, what is this thread about? self-esteem? perhaps, at least partially. but thats clearly not what the main issue is. if any of you saw the thread that casey posted a few days ago about, basically, his life falling apart, i think there would be a bit more understanding goin on here. maybe its just how i see things... but when i see someone with a problem i tend to try to help rather than simply point out fault. i made a reference in an earlier post to this forum being somewhat of a family... lets try and treat things, at least those things that are important, as a family would. maybe i'm way off base, but i dont think so.

as far as age, its irrelavent. maturity is not. i'm older than a majority of the people on this site... does that really mean anything truly? i dont think so. if i come across a 12 year old with a good head on their shoulders and some maturity in some way, shape or form... would i treat them worse than a 17 year old with no sense? certainly not. age is not an issue here.
