Re: FFR Scores
Us iz not injoyin da FFR cuz ppl kep perlutin dis tread, so...
Just one last bit of insight (I thought this was established a long time ago ?_?) that needs to be explained before we hopefully never see anything concerning the subject in this thread (or anywhere on the forums, for that matter - not likely!) ever again... Quiet for much too long... Quote:
However... The way in which Rubix defends himself is such that though he does indeed offer forth evidence that supports him own claims, his method of delivery, which others perceive as forcefully retaliative, serves only to perpetrate the debate even further. It's quite literally a battle of flam vs. flam. In my opinion, their arguments are, in a sense, contradictory to what they are attempting to defend. The instant a person claims complete superiority over another human being, he/she inherently becomes anything but. Someone who is truly intelligent (from a primarily ethical standpoint) should know that raising oneself up should never involve dragging others down, even if they are in the way. There is no need to destroy an obstacle; just go around it. Of course, who knows? Maybe I'm being a bit too optimistic in search for morality here, where it is already fading into a ghost of proper forum conduct. Concerning hecklers and whatnot, rather than to openly demonstrate the apparent value placed upon their views, it's a much better choice to ignore them. Nevertheless, it is necessary to always bear in mind that a person's opinions can never be wrong, per se; they can simply be based on information that is incorrect. In any case, all beliefs will ultimately settle, and it is much better to have them do so without having gained the ignoble reputation of having bickered childishly via an ARROW-BASED MUSIC GAME FORUM. Additionally...(let me add beforehand that I, myself, have taken a neutral stance)...if indeed the legitimacy of a player is to be doubted, the best weapon is one of conscientious attrition. Let he/she who is lying both to others and to him- or her- self wade in the consequent muck and mire of deception. The gratification is temporal, living only as long as those who have been misled; the guilt is eternal (although those who are exceptionally corrupt might manage to suppress it with their own ill will). Eventually, hopefully the person will change. Ok, I'm done. BS & etc. 101 has concluded. Back on topic...lol Sulfer, lol Euro, and lol Fanta. P.S. - Someone tell me how to not not AAA Final Step. ;_; |

Re: FFR Scores
Ieat brilliant logic, very well put point but in the future I recommend not using as many words that wouldn't appear in a common 14 year old's vocabulary because annoying ass people such as mitchtyler will complain about how he doesn't understand what you said. However, I admire your intelligence in being an outside mediator and staying neutral in probably the biggest "controversy" to hit ffr this year

Re: FFR Scores
ieat: I am indeed fully conscious of my actions and I do this to maximize utility. I don't know these people in real life, so I have little to gain by being nice to ignorant people. I may be arrogant -- and I may be an intellectual snob, but it's this kind of attitude that has allowed me to always beat my competition and make it far in my life up to this point (basically knowing you are intellectually superior gives you enough boost to actually achieve it).
I am not a moral person when it comes to argument. I find it much more fun to insult someone's ignorance and crush their incorrect assumptions. If you're stupid, I am going to let you know. Immature, yes, but incorrect, not necessarily. However, I am a moral person when it comes to activities and games and skill-based competition. Cheating is for the unskilled, the lazy, and for those who are just too stupid to put any effort into developing their own strategies and skill optimizations. I gain a large sum of personal utility by knowing I can basically become skilled at anything I do -- it's a mindset I've had from an early age and it's done wonders. Unfortunately it also makes me very impatient. Anyways, yes, it is a game. But it's just one game of many that I've done well at and it gives me pleasure |
