I have a few suggestions for permissions:

Trivium
Metallica
Atreyu
Dragonforce

They have some great songs, and I would really like to step them. So, if you could get permission from these bands, that would be great.

BTW, Drugstore is alredy trying to get Dragonforce
Ill send messages to the others right now.

we're working on DF, they're on the indie label Roadrunner... as is Trivium.
Atreyu is on Hollywood records, which is owned by Disney and distributed by UMG, so we could work on them via our UMG contacts.

and Metallica is on Elektra, which is part of Warner... which is a label we don't have a relationship with yet.

but, rest assumred... basically every big named band that our users have requested (you are far from the first to request these bands) has been looking into, and will continue to be looked into.

Anyways, I hear that EnR takes care of metal bands, so...
I am already stepping Pull Harder for Trivium, so I really need that permission. I sent like 5 messages on MySpace to them, they were read, but not replied.

So far, I have not had any success.

how about you NOT annoy bands to the point where they don't like us at all. send 1 messuage, be polite and kind, explain what you want. if they don't respond or say no, accept that.

Yea dude, if they say there read, but no reply, there either thinking about it, or saying no, i only sent 2 messages to kamelot, thats it, drugstore said it took him over 5 months to get a response from Underoath, so be patient and everything will work out good.

Getting some Dragonforce on here would be ****ing amazing! I hope they give permission. Some other groups that might be kind of cool to see on here are:
Reel Big Fish, Cradle of Filth, Mayhem, Korn, M1dy, Chemical Brothers, Paul Van Dyk...and that's all I can think of right now. I'm just putting that out there. I could contact them myself if that's cool.

Dont expect to get many bands/artists from Warner. Warner has a deal with Dance! Online. Acclaim can use all of Warners songs as long as they ONLY use bands and artists under Warner.

As far as RBF is concerned, FFR has permission from them already.
