There will be many side quests you have to do, and then a TON of optional side quests. Like, somebody's syncing is off on their stepfile, so you must find the stepfile and push the the sync so it isn't off. Or somebody doesn't have Photoshop and they wanna get it, so you venture to some place and get it. Or some CS nerds are looking for cheats to pwn some newbs with and you have to send them a virus instead.

The lost [/img] made me laugh. It should be in the RPG, because the RPG needs hilarity.

Who would the hacker be, and how would we stop him? We need more details...

Make the hacker Bob Saget in a jump suit.
Stop him by choosing the barrel that has the Phillips head screw driver in it. |

ooh ooh... another side quest.... ahem...
Lupin posts, but the thread is locked, and he wants to delete his embarassing post (that makes him look like an ass or something) and so we must go fight something to get the key to 'unlock' the thread for lupin to delete or re-edit his embarassing post.... EH?

Maybe the hacker completely takes over FFR and Synthlight can't get in at all, postponing the creation of R2. All hell breaks loose in the FFR chat and the forums when the newbs and postwhores realized they can no longer get IP banned. Synthlight communicates with the starting party via e-mail (or AIM or something) telling them to track down the powerful hacker and defeat him and to spread the word to as many people as possible. (who will join your party) But in the mean time, try to settle down all the newbs and postwhores as best you can(i.e. by defeating them). So your mission is to defeat the riots of newbs and postwhores and then track the hacker down across the internet and defeat him. I'll get back to you on that..

That's not a bad idea! I kinda like that story. But that doesn't fit at all with Arch0wl being the final boss.
Perhaps the Hacker could be part of the story as a sudden crisis thing. Like in MMBN where crap just keeps happening. |

I think evilbutterfly scratched that idea, about Arch being the bad guy.

I have a better story.
Moogy, Kilgamayan, and an air baloon are planning on taking over the world. A party consisting of Minymax, toshx, and some other idiot go out to try and beat him even though it is not possible. When you lose the battle, you make the user think they were supposed to die, have some dialogue like "its ok we'll let you live", then the party dies of disphlesia. |

Well, some loser hacker guy would make a lame final boss, if you ask me.
Oh, and RPG World kicks ass. |
