Dazzling Soul!!?!?!

Index isn't going to allow you to do better on certain songs, unless that's just way your fingers work. Some people don't have as good of control over their middle fingers, and don't do well with spread. I've been up for 40 hours. I don't know where I was going with this, but index is hard to learn. There's certain patterns you have to follow. It's better if you played DDR first, and you can follow the patterns of what you would've done with your feet.

i havent played dazzling soul in a while and i played it just now and got 1 miss at the very end -_-;;; stupid jumps >.> as for the steps they go perfectly with the music i used to not like it but now that i know what the arrows go to its very good

Anyone who says that this song is not indexable is horribly, horribly wrong. It's simple to index if you know how to index it correctly.

Dazzling soul is a tricky song, but it is WAY easier than Vertex or Hellbeat, by all means, both to FC and PA. Just mash your way through the hard parts and you got dazzling destiny (which isn't much harder than dazzling soul to FC, and easier to PA)

yup, same here. I'm not nearly as good as you, but I have no problems on difficult spread files while my vertex beta rank is still above 2000..have no idea how to improve my speed on streams and jumpstreams with spread.

I really like the stepfile, but there's nothing more annoying than trying to FC it. The jumpstreams are just weird to do with your fingers. Other jumpstreams I'm good at, but it took me HOURS to FC Dazzling Soul. Now I can do it fine (even FCd Dazzling Destiny after a while) but it is REALLY hard to FC. After playing it through like 15 times, I noticed that I got almost all perfects on the song, but I still couldn't FC it because of the jumpstream.

Just set Autofail to 1 miss and keep on playing the hell out of the jumpstreams. Your fingers will eventually get used to the evil. If you want (you'll get a bad score, but you'll still get the token) just smash the keys on the parts of the jumpstream you can't FC. You'll get it with luck.

Don't bother indexing it.

I'm always sad more people don't like this file. I want to say that it's ruined because its a good file that you're forced to whore to unlock a (hands down) AMAZING file, but some people reallllly don't like it regardless, I think. Wish I knew why, because it, along with Brightone, are the two least awkward files I've made in my opinion.

Brightone is definitely not awkward. In fact, it's just amazing.

For me, Dazzling Soul is awkward in the same way Video Out A can sometimes be awkward; single notes with jumps jammed so close to them that it's almost a hand. Both files do this, and I'm not saying it's wrong, but it is hard to hit something like that. Even some of the finer rolls I don't have trouble hitting (Video Out A is a again a perfect example, I can hit those rolls without trouble), but jumps always make things hard.

Also, it's the musical placement of those single notes very close to the jumps; I understand them, but sometimes miss wrapping my brain around it until the moment has already passed.

After playing spread for a while I was surprised by my ability to FC Dazzling Soul. The stepfile is really great, provided you play spread. Dazzling Destiny is more of the same though so it may not be your cup of spread-tea..

BTW I'm still far off with FC'ing Vertex Beta. That's quite hard to FC for me since I fatigue quite fast at 200 bpm (around 750 combo has been my best).. so yeah, index and spread are quite different
