TGB Ventrilo: Voice Chat for Everyone!

You guys now have a rare opportunity to be a bigger part of our community! Have a mic? Great! Come chat along and make even MORE friends through FFR! "How?" you say? Oh, it's quite simple. Just check out these quick and easy steps below...;:

1. Download Ventrilo
- Quick and painless. Make sure to get version 3.0!
- Download: http://www.ventrilo.com/dlprod.php?id=1

2. Setup your online alias
- Load up Ventrilo and click the arrow next to the User Name box.
- This is more than likely the name everyone will know you by, so make it good!

3. Setup the server information
- Click the arrow next to the Server box.
- Click new and name the server anything!
- In the IP box put: 208.99.211.73 and in the Port box put: 4060

4. Setup your bindings
- What is this? The key you will use to initiate communication with other FFR users!
- Click New and name the bind anything you want.
- Click Add and make sure the circle by PTT Advanced is checked and then push a button!
- Then, all you have to do is check the circle next to current channel and you're done!

5. Miscellaneous
- Before you join the server, click on setup on the right side of the main window.
- Make sure Use Push To Talk is checked.
- The other options are something you have to fiddle with yourself. Basically, just make sure you have something selected under Hardware Input Mixer.

I have been a half doezen times.

One time I talked to carbo for 3 seconds the other times everyone was afk or engaged in their own convos.

You would be surprised at the number of people who can't figure out how to use Vent. It's appalling, though maybe that's just because the majority of players in today's MMOs are 13 or so...

My point was that I know how to use just about all of the functions (from 2.3, not 3.0), that's all. Most people who use vent just know about push-to-talk in the settings menu. They don't even really know about binds...
