I recomend a book for all of you who interest yourselves in the government. It's called Guns, Germs and Steel: The Fate of Humanities by Jared Diamond. For those of you who've read it, please discuss.

Give us a little background on it. Author, subject, what it's about, etc.

The Author lived in New Guinea for many years studying as an antropologist. He taught Biology for a long time. Currently works at UCLA.
The book is about, in short, how society and government came to be. How Europeans got lucky and had guns, germs, and steel before anyone else, why they got lucky, and the history of the world in general. All in under 500 pages. Q |
