I would like to see some kind of world championship match between SM and FFR gods, but for now I'll just state that Rubix and Thaor are both absolutely masterful in their own right. And I bet Rubix beats Thaor on crytograms, rubix cubes and complex riddles lol.

Alright this was a nice thread to read and enjoy my beef jerky to lol, now it's my turn to weigh my opinion. The obvious statements have already been placed, SM harder then FFR, blahdy blahdy blah. One way of comparing could be by using levels of accomplishment. Rubix has achieved an average of 1 and has achieved the high score on just about everything on FFR. Thaor holds countless world records and probably has 100's more AAA's then Rubix because of the VAST amount of files that are playable. In their own rights they are both incredible players on SM, and Rubix has the whole FFR thing to add to into it as well. To sum it up basically they are both incredible players with immense talent both definitely at the top of each of their game of preference

Yeah, I don't post scores anymore because they only seem to cause drama. I still play SM but just for fun. I've made a few SM vids showing judge/program path/ini/settings/keyboard setup/etc (I think I even showed you Fantasticone? I can't remember). Basically I realized that it's stupid to try -- game is much less fun when the competition is half-retarded. Anyways, might get back into SMO later.
I mean I've quadded stuff like VBeta or SP or Badlands -- not easy for me to do, but such things are probably easier to guys like Izzy. His Ageha 7-judge score is disgustingly insane. Thing is guys like Thaor/WookE/Izzy are leagues ahead of the rest of the SM competition. I am not sure why people find Disregard so hard to combo when they're able to achieve speeds high enough to hammer out stuff like the end of One Minutes Edit -- it's fast but not *that* fast. I don't know about anyone else but reading this thread made me want to play SM for the first time in a month
brb playing SM Did we ever figure out the truth about Nima? bs or not? I can't remember. If he's always been legit he's a bit higher than Thaor imo. I would host that in an instant. It'd be so incredibly fun to watch. If a bunch of people think there should really be a tournament like this, I'll definitely make one Last edited by Rebirth0; 11-6-2007 at 03:07 PM.. |

except we need an official thing where the people come together, granted that'll be extremely hard to pull off but i'd love to see people converge together... new convention idea...

This is true, however he did say he BS'd some speed scores, though did not specify exactly which ones. Vertex Gamma was one of them (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un1IRBIYf-4)

He is, period. Shashakiro is history and darkshark is the eternal no. 2. Smitty, Tayfun and colt donīt even come close on the really hard songs.

You can't really compare the two because they are separate games. That's like saying who's better at their respective sport: Michael Jordan (b-ball) or Wayne Gretzky (hockey)?
You guys just have to acknowledge that each is the "best" in their own right at the game that they play, but they just can't be compared to each other. |
