Re: So Cal Is Burning
500,000+ people evacuated in SD county, 150,000+ in LA, Ventura, San Bernadino and Orange counties. Over 1200 buildings have burned down, not including homes.
something like 583 square miles of land have gone up in flames. i hope this stops soon... |

Re: So Cal Is Burning
I feel really bad for Californians.
I can't imagine what that would be like. I find that having one house burn down is sad... but having this many destroyed on top of all the evacuees?

Re: So Cal Is Burning
Is there a way to start a donation drive for the evacuees in California because of the wildfires? By doing this, we can make a name for FFR across the country.
If this is accepted, maybe we can set a mark at $50,000 or even higher. |

Re: So Cal Is Burning
I live in South Pas, which is a hour from the fire. A few people at school were coughing today because of the smoke. 560,000 people have been evacuated. That's HALF A MILLION peope to relocate! Could this fire get any worse?????

I evacuated, but I came back to a home, so that's fortunate for me.

Re: So Cal Is Burning
One of the fires are considered arson. I can't remember which fire though.
EDIT: It was the Santiago fires. Last edited by madmatt621; 10-25-2007 at 02:07 PM.. |

Re: So Cal Is Burning
the fires in Orange and San Bernadino counties were arsons from what i've gathered. i highly doubt that these other fires weren't arsons either. it's just too convenient with the Santa Ana's blowing that these fires would be 'accidental'.
also the Santiago fire was the really nasty one is San Diego county, right? if that's the case then that thing is only like 10% contained at best. although they did reopen the 5 for southbound traffic, so maybe it's better than i think. |
