If you take batteries out of a lot of different types of cameras, the date resets to the date the camera was manufactured.

Im sure that was the case for this.

You said it was made in 2005... but his join date is 2006. So he would have had to guess what username he would join with, then proceed to wait 2 years and post it... that makes absolutely no sense.
