JX, Rebirth, and community
JX and Rebirth:
My Demon(s) file followed the guitar playing of the song, and some vocal parts (like before the trills [or whatever], and the first part of the chorus). So, if you thought that the steps were weird, can you re-evaluate them please? Community: Any advice on making stepfiles? |

Re: JX, Rebirth, and community
According to them the file was completely off sync. Work on that first.

Throw a bunch of those in there. |

PS: played it in the DB.... wayyyy off sync.... i could tell you tried to get it to the guitar, but it didnt work because i think it was because the BPM was off.... but thats what i came up with after only playing about a minute of the song... i stopped after that... lol |

plus, try what i did.... i released stepfiles to the public first..... upload some files into the simfile DB and get some feedback from whoever plays it..... once you start to get alot of positive feedback, you can see what youve been doing good and right with, and build that..... me... ive found that people liked the files i made for ITG songs.... mostly kyle ward stuff.... lol |

Re: JX, Rebirth, and community
Those files are also off sync, and they have weird 24th jacks.

Re: JX, Rebirth, and community
Also for white notes if you have sm 3.9 you can just collapse x2 (or anything else) with 64th notes.
Like when you half BPM a sixteenth stream, you get a 32nd stream. Just do that with a 64th stream. |

Re: JX, Rebirth, and community
everyone is giving you the first and only piece of advice you need right now... learn how to sync files. you can't do anything else if you can't sync it.
also, if you've uploaded it to the DB, you can't submit it for use in FFR.

1. Find the gap - prolly best to use a program called Audacity to do that, unless you wanna do it urself like a real man (in which case, just slow down the music to 0.3x - 0.5x to figure out EXACTLY when the music starts). Also, putting 2 seconds of silence in a song doesn't mean set the gap to 2.0 and start on some random ass blue note LMAO. The first arrow should usually be on the start of a measure, unless it's a pickup or something. FYI, for Demon(s), the offset should be set to -0.105. 2. Find the BPM - prolly best to use a program called MixMeister BPM Analyzer. There are tons of techniques to finding the BPM of a song (ie http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=75858). If you nod your head to the beat of the music, every nod should land on a quarter note (a red note). FYI, just by tapping along to the quarter notes and using http://www.all8.com/tools/bpm.htm, I found the starting BPM of Demon(s) to be 160, not 185 (lol, the BPM Analyzer says 159.61). There are minor BPM shifts in the song (ie it goes to 156 on measure 93 and returns to 160 on measure 103), which are hard to detect, unless you have good ears and have experience in dealing w/ BPM shifts, meaning it would be best to start out w/ a song where you know, or can easily find, the BPM (ie something not rock lol). 3. Don't make a billion repetitive posts in the Queue/Batch Discussion Thread.
