i was wondering sence that huge snake thinggy in the swamp has a really powerful spell (beta) and i really want it baddly so i was just wondering if anyone has gotten it and at what level where you

The Midgard Zolem thingy? Just go back to there when you have the airship or something... you'll be more than able to get Beta (which isn't really that great) then.

Yeah, i got it. I am also level 99. That game was my life a couple years ago. I beat it, like, 5 times....in two months(more like 8, but who's counting...wow, I'm so clever, it hurts)

Oh, but if you REALLY want the spell the first time you run into it, equip the E-skill Materia on Aeris, and also the acc. that rasies resistance to fire... then go fight it the first time you get a chance to fight it. If you luck out the snake won't smack Areis out of the battle, or get killed by Beta... after you've learned it. Spam Limit Breaks like there's no tommorow! It should die after a while.

I am going with what Yami said and did anybody notice that KoR with the hint of 32 times summon does about 310,000 damage.

The Midgar Zolem uses Beta more often when it's low on life. If you weaken it first, it should use it against you. By the way, if anyone is interested, I have a forum @

You should be up around the mid to high 20s if you want to play it safe, with your party in fury status (use a hyper on them) and their limit breaks ready. Make sure the person with the enemy skill materia has a fire ring, or fire materia with an elemental materia on their armor (you should've won it back at Shinra HQ). Then have one character constantly attack it, and when it reaches about 1k of HP, it'll knock that person out, and a turn later it'll do Beta. Make sure the character with Enemy Skill doesn't attack, or you'll have to kill it and start over.

This is confronting it before getting the other enemy skill materias and before you cross the swamp for your first time.
