Frictional Nevada - jimerax (this is a FGO people!)

Fictional Nevada: +
- holy crap FGO file for sure
- Those green note things looked pretty stupid
- Might be too much for FFR

....

wave rip - what they both said
WaveRip(remastered) (Silvuh) [+] (10) - a bit overdoubled tho
Wave Rip: +?
Sorry, but I am beginning to smell a bit of bias, here. I guess y'all just don't get enough FGOs, or something. Anyway, you find most of my files "over-doubled", but that's because of the layering... For instance, in Delta Beat, there was a beat on almost every eighth note that I layered over the melodic patterns... yet it's over-doubled. I layered the clanky noise in WaveRip (and not all the time... less than before) over the drums... yet it's still over-doubled. In Dragonic Rage, the drum beat was layered over the melody... yet it's waaaay over-doubled.
Maybe someone can teach me to layer the way you want it... instead of the "beat overlapping melody = jump" method I use often.

I just wonder how bad files (in my mind) of mine (i.e. Strawberry, Hadazamui Rittou) get accepted...

Eh... re-re-re-sent in files... Going to bed now...

I have 4 but just don't like much.
If I feel 4 is a lot more compatible about simfiles, I'll use it.

FYI Frictional Nevada = mid-high 6, near GGC/Molto. Not too hard to FC, but PA would be incredibly hard.. doubt I can get under 50 FC on FFR.

for silvuh,

yea usually a song has multiple instruments.. drums(BDs, toms, cymbals, snares, hihats, etc), basses, pianos, guitars, vocals, strings, and so on.

If you try to follow those instruments at the same time, the file could have a lot of doubles/triples/quads.

of course triples/quads aren't allowed on FFR (some exceptions like vrofl), and as for doubles, you still need to select the "important" sound for the steps. maybe you already have done this, but the amount/ratio of doubles is still a bit too much in our standard.

I got rid of all the jacks in {LSD} and the 32nds in S13... unless I submitted the wrong file.

Which I don't think I did, based on Rebirth's notes.

I guess i'll just fix them up and resubmit again.

p.s. YES gvp got in.

as far as I looked around the file, 12th jacks are in every 4 measure from m31 to 55, from m63 to 75, from m95 to 107.
also patterns in m57-58 could be changed, unless you really love them.

Oh, so now there's a ban on easy files (Popcorn Remix) AND JE? We desperately need easy files on FFR, but no. "omg easy files are boring and I hate chardish so i jus wont axcept dem >.>"

and Skeletones works fine on my computer. Stargroup tested it and said it was on-sync, and jimerax, a player just as skilled, didn't note any sync issues. Rebirth seems to be the only one calling OMG BS OFFBEAT WRONG STEPS LOLOLOL on all my files. SM Problems, much?

In short, I think you and Rebirth are screwing this game over.

yes we need more easy/hard files, which isn't in VD-VC difficulty range.
but some 4ths don't match the popcorn rhythms, use 16ths when they are needed.

I felt Skeletones' sync is a bit late overall, it's acceptable level for FFR though.

Do a barrel roll - EW
Gameboy Rave - EW - make sure to only include 1 difficulty...
Glove Stage - EW
Love - EW - got 3 perfs on this...
Rumia, Sealed... - EW - agree w/ jx
Same Dream - EW
Toph's OP - EW
. Will make the change in Rumia as I 100% agree with it.

Quote:
Variations 2 (ElectricWerewolf): +?
Variations 2 (ElectricWerewolf) [+?] - understepped, mine's better IMO
Stupid file anyways after I made it harder. I'm leaving this one to jx.

Quote:
Toph's OP 2: ?
- File is good, but the music in the beginning is just far too quiet
- Has a minijack at the end of measure 36
Toph's OP Remix (ElectricWerewolf) [-] - multi difficulty
My bad about the multiple difficulties sorry. I suppose the minijack can come out even though it has a chance of being a 4-framer (and could be edited as such by tass). What should I do about the music? I really like the way the song is structured and would prefer not to have to cut it or anything.

Quote:
ice disk - what jx said
Ice Disk (ElectricWerewolf) [+?] - good file but rhythm issues, m66-81 could be long streams, after m81 a bit repetitive/24ths don't fit the music
Ok, I REALLY hope you guys will accept some leniency on this one. I'll change the repetitive measures (the 24ths do go to the music but are only noticable when the song is slowed down) but m66-81 goes to the music WAY better than a stream would; I had a stream at that part before noticing the breaks in it, but once I broke the stream up it felt a lot less boring and more correct.

Expect resubmissions on Rumia, Toph 2 and Ice Disk, plus a handful of other files. And I'll be more careful about sending files with multiple difficulties.

Edit: BDN, my files for Love and Same Dream are both around the very easy level, and they were accepted. Plus a good few of the subscriberfest songs were pretty easy if you didn't remember.

Oh cool, the subscriberfest songs are now public. Better play some FFR.

um I don't know if I will resubmit Variation2 as well.

you're going with barely audible things in that song, ok then. felt weird on my 1-2 times of testing.

Ah, I get it now. The only thing is I'll resubmit Skeletones and you'll find a slew of new reasons to reject it
