Rubix: Well, now that I've checked both charts, apparently I got the bonus for Round 1, but not Round 4; I think it should be the other way around.

That's the point of the round. The only objective is to beat your peers. If you all think whoring the game to the max is the only way to save your rank, go ahead :P You guys don't *have* to whore it past 15 million if you didn't want to. It's a tournament of optimization. You could reason, is whoring out worth this point gain, or am I better off beating him in another round for a net gain? Up to you guys alone

aw man, I can't use the computer that I had my Raiden X score on. We turned off the computer, we all thought we knew the password, but we didn't, so now we're locked out and I"m stuck with this horrible computer... ah well... I just gotta get my score back...

The Ship boss on Hard is a pain in the ass.

Edit: what is everyone's weapon choices?

For me:

Easy: Homing Lazer + Homing Missiles
Normal: Homing Lazer + Homing Missiles
Hard: Spread Shot + Heavy Missiles

if you guys actually read the website for the game, there are tips, tricks, and secrets...

just a suggestion, since I know that NONE of you actually did that. One specific one that it mentions is that purple + homing missiles is a terrible combination. You want power + speed. with that combo you have speed + speed. I usually go with vulcan + homing, although on hard I'll do laser + homing until level 8, then switch to vulcan + nuclear.

ps - you don't even want to know my score right now.

I could have a score close to yours if I had enough time. But:

1. Job
2. I get bored of it too fast

Also, I only use purple + homing, haha. Its always been my favorite setup and never fails me, woot.

purple + homing vs level 8 boss on hard = DEATH....

honestly though, on the guy's site... he lists the time it takes to kill the level 8 boss (either on easy or normal, not sure) with each of the 6 weapon combinations...

laser + nuclear = 15 seconds.
homing + homing = 5 minutes.

so I always make sure to pick up a nuclear right before the ending boss fight... it's so much help for the boss battle.
