Default FFR level suggestion

STOP MAKING EVERY OTHER NOTE A JUMP

Please.

P.S. This applies to people who do this to their levels, like Silvuh and jimerax (and anyone else I'm missing). If you don't do this, please, carry on.

Get used to it, I guess you should be glad FFR doesn't handle hands too well. Stepfilers should be able to create their files the way they like it. If you don't like it, practice until you do, or don't play it at all.

Really? So if I like to make my stepfiles so that they have NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MUSIC then that's my right and it should still be accepted because I get to make it the way I want? Lame.

Maple Leaf Rag is a nightmare to play. A ****ING NIGHTMARE. There is no playable value in that ****storm.

But whatever, I've ranted about people's stepfiles on this site enough, they'll make horrible levels and I'll play them anyway, I guess that's FFR.

And for the record, I'm very used to them.

That doesn't make them good.

EDIT: What is the criteria for passing a stepfile? People don't realize that jumps should not be thrown in randomly? Jumps have a musical calling too, folks.... they shouldn't be treated like normal arrows, or because the level wasn't hard enough "just" going to the music.

TheSeventhSign suggestion
STOP BITCHING. Don't like the file? Don't play it. It's only a loss on your level ranks not ours. Why the hell do you think we care about what you think about jumps?

lol when did I say

BECAUSE EVERYONE CARES I'm posting a thread.

Hmm.

Didn't say that. So to answer the question "Why the hell do you think we care about what you care about jumps," I will ask you in return, "Why the hell did you think I thought that?"

Okay okay, here's an actual suggestion, I'm not being a sarcastic jerk this time: incorporate something into stepfile judging about jumps. Please. It's ridiculous that people can get away with substituting what is JUST FINE being a normal arrow with a jump. Jumps are not normal arrows. What gets me is that in Maple Leaf Rag, it's a ****ing piano. There's not like a bass drum in the background pounding out a beat. I don't mind the jumps then. Hell, give me a jumpstream when that happens. It was a piano. It is tinkling out music and you jump every third note? (Forgive me jimerax, I said every other, apparently, you're far classier than that.)

And just so I'm not totally trashing jimerax here, Horizon was BEAUTIFUL. An all-time favorite of mine. Because you didn't add jumps where they didn't belong and it went beautifully to the music.
