Played MAX300 on controller again after a long while. Took me a little bit, but I finally full comboed it. My PA is pretty decent, too. Have a look see:
![]() And here's my expression immediately after: ![]() I had it on 2x scroll, and yes, I used thumbs only and not "set the controller down and use it like it's a keyboard" style

I hate that song. I loathe it. It is one of the ONLY songs I cannot AA, so congrats to you. Personally, I like the songs with complicated beats, like "So Deep". But hey, nice score regardless.

Stepmania uses MAX2's scoring system, which is a ton better. And no, Panda, you can't have my sailboat.

As I can remember, the best song I SDG'ed in a controller was Paranoia Rebirth and Dead End. But then that was when I still play consoles and before PS2 even came out. I don't even play my PS2 on any games, not even DDR since I found SM.
Good job on the Max AA.. Like Kenzya said it's harder to play on a controller. I have yet to try any of the Max songs in a controller

I tried to AA Maxx Unlimited after that, and it's still a bit much for me at this point. DDR on controller is definitly harder, probably because thumbs aren't really as good for moving around quickly. I bet if you set the controller down flat and hit the buttons with your indexes or something it would be WAY easier. Too bad I consider that cheating

It really isnt HARD to play with a controller, you just have to pump out those cramps you get playing the Max's.
And good job. |

Well it's harder than using keyboard. My thumbs can't move that fast. With other fingers you can 1) move faster no matter what, and 2) your hand moves, too, which adds to your overall speed.
And I don't get cramps in my hands from playing the Maxes, but I do get kinda tired when I play the Ivkas steps for Kakumei. Tough stuff...

Note the name of the picture. It's my "Uhh, son!" face. Not like I always look like that...
