hey everyone, i'm new player to ffr. i came here because a friend told me about the site and i was like "bah... ddr on keyboard. too easy." then i played RunnyMorning and was absolutely hooked to the game (btw, great step file Arch0wl).
i've played ddr for awhile though (about 6 months). i can sdg most 9's and AA a few of the 10's without the bar. can't wait to get started in ffr. any tips you guys have would be really appreciated!

Umm... play StepMania with the keyboard if you want to get better at FFR. It's true. I got loads better when I started playing SM a lot rather than FFR. The reason is that FFR isn't always that on-beat.. the timing's kind of funny. You get better at timing and stuff if you play SM more. Plus you can use the note skin on SM and then you can see the notes really nice.
SM = Stepmania = search google for the website, I forget it o.O

thanks guys, i have stepmania now and about 750 songs to go with it. even on judge difficulty 6 or 7, it's a bit easy i think. i went ahead and hooked up a controller to SM and started using that. is it possible to use a controller or joystick on FFR?

If you want to play FFR with a controller, I think you need a controller to key program. It makes your computer think that a key is pushed when you push something on the controller. I think you can get one at download.com, but I'm not 100% on it.

Stepmania is a DDR simulator for the computer. It can be downloaded at stepmania.com. Once you have it though, you'll have to download some songs for it. FFR has a simfile database for songs. Once you have Stepmania installed, just download your songs into a folder within the songs folder. Just make a new folder in songs and name it the genre. Then download and unzip into that folder. Also, make sure to download from the database using Internet Explorer or else it might not download correctly.
hehe... I was so bored that I answered the question about as best as possible.
