DrugstoreCowboy - Asking for permission from two bands

Drugstore,

Can you get permission from Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Atreyu? I want to work on simfiles for Face Down (RJA) and Tulips are Better (Atreyu), Someone's Standing on my Chest (Atreyu), Deanne the Arsonist (Atreyu), The Crimson (Atreyu), and Bleeding Mascara (Atreyu).

Anyone that would want to have permission from Atreyu and RJA to put songs into FFR, please vote.

Atreyu is on Hollywood Records, which is owned by ABC/Disney... so... real slim. Not to mention, they're extremely mainstream/popular currently.

Red Jumpsuit is even more popular, myspace wise... and are on Virgin records, which is one of the labels owned by EMI... one of the 4 major labels.

So, really... it isn't highly likely. At least in the near term. Try and stick to more indie bands, because we really do have good shots at them.

I don't think dragonforce on FFR would be that great of a thing.
Every song is like 5 mins +, and Tass hates 4 mins + songs.

Then again, they are dragonforce...

im agreeing with a bunch of ppl on this get dragonforce..long songs are fun when there filled with stream ,jumps, and just plain insane note patterns at 200bpm...OR MAKE it na skill token..or the 50,000 secret song

Okay, honestly, I love Dragonforce, but they would be terrible for FFR. Of course, obviously, because their songs are friggin long, and because ALL THEIR MUSIC SOUNDS THE SAME!

I would shoot more for getting a band like Rhapsody, or Sonata Arctica. They're less repetitive, and all their songs wouldn't be 200 BPM avmiss hell.

...Freedom Call is better then DF anyway.

P.S. If we ever got permission I got dibs on Fields of Despair!

Drugstore managed to pick up Darkest Hour. And they are on Victory Records, really tough to get. Victory Records is heavily favored by all those metal/alternative rock fans. But, Darkest Hour still said yes, and asked for a widget, and I already stepped their song Demon(s). So, we have a chance at Atreyu.

Sulfer is right. You would have to whore every song by them that is on FFR. Fury of the Storm is good, but it still would be painful to play (knowing that it would be like FGO, and it would be like 6 min 3 sec), and also painful to step. So, I agree with Sulfer.

1. don't double post.

2. victory records is an indie label, not a major label. atreyu is no longer on victory... so, while we do have a relationship of some kind with victory, they no longer have anything to do with atreyu.

beyond that.... never fear. the stuff we do behind closed doors is insane. i can't really discuss it at this point, but every day we strive to get bigger and bigger named bands, and push and push to get a foot in the door with the major labels.

How about more bands of all types, why just limit ourselves when there is so much out there... Polka anyone?
