I decided to try these other programs. StepMania immediately crashes on me. I installed it, ran it, it apparently tried to change my screen resolution or something, then promptly crashed. I can't even get a main menu screen or anything. So much for it. I tried Dance With Intensity which works, but has like no songs in it so I'd have to go searching out a bunch to play and at the moment I'm not too inclined to do that. Oh well, I guess I'll just play here for now.

Before I started playing SM, people were always saying that to get better at FFR you needed to download SM.
But like you, the idea of actually having to go out and track down simfiles on my own, instead of having them nicely provided by a flash interface, brought out the inner laziness from me. So I sat on the idea of getting SM for months. One day I finally broke down, got SM, and downloaded some sims for it. I immediately started improving. The moral of this story? If you want to get better, get off your lazy ass and download some simfiles. You don't even have to go far to get sims - FFR has its own simfile section. |

Getting better isn't *that* important to me right now. But I forgot about the database of files here. That does make it easier to find some songs and files. Only problem is, I'm new and I stink. I downloaded some songs I recognized and almost all of them are too hard for me. Is there any easy way to search the database for files with easier levels in them or can someone here recommend some to try? And if this is getting too off topic you can PM or we can move this to its own thread.

I'm also too lazy to find Simfiles (
), but if it really does help that much, I'll give it a shot. Can someone please suggest some songs (with links/locations if possible) that would help an...err...average player improve? |

As everyone else, your gonna suck at SM when you start, and theres nothing you can do to change that, so u gotta practice a lot and when u master SM you'll be a bit more uber at FFR than you expected
