Also, turn on your pop-up blocker. It might just help. Quote:
Second, Silver wasn't talking about how slow his computer is going. Having pop-up all the time doesn't mean you have a virus or anything. Third, http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/....php?f=17&a=14 |

can you let us know what banners you are seeing when it happens?
We should not have any popups being served. |

I've been cruising around and I don't see any pop-ups. Are your guys on different websites, too? (Either FF or IE.)

mat, being a subscriber would prevent it from happening if we have a rogue advertiser in the mix.
We will double check as they are not supposed to be in the mix. |

IE is faster, the requirements are MUCH lower. (I'm a Firefox guy, myself, though) |

Well, I know what they are talking about but I don't think they are pop ups. I'm pretty sure they are banner ads that expand when you scroll over them but sometimes they expand by themselves it seems.

I've seen those. I hardly see them because websites that had them don't have them anymore.

Yeah, I get pop-ups sometimes on Firefox and IE when I'm not logged in. I don't know what banners give them though... I'll pay attention next time.

Well for banner ads get Firefox and get the addon AdBlock Plus.

stating the obvious.

i keep getting that tribal fusion one as well.. i didn't have this happen about a month ago, but now it is somewhat frequent. it isn't an extending ad, it's a separate window that pops up in the background. i tried running ad aware and cleared everything that came up.. i know those programs are far from fool proof, but could it possibly be the site? Does FFR allow these ads? i didn't think they did...

Nothing can stop me now..

I wasn't logged in and I came to the page the other day and I got one of those "in browser" pop ups. The kind that isn't actually a separate window, it just kind of creeps over the screen with an ad.
People might be mistaking these as pop ups. |
