Alright, so I'll explain this here and call this thread the "signups"
Essentially, I'm going to take all the interested people, and arrange them in a circle in a word document. Each person will offer up one of their writings, and it will be passed to the next person in the circle. When you receive someone else's story, it becomes your job to reimagine it. Write it as though you had written it. Keep the same general plot, but feel free to change things. Make the characters act different, make it take place in somewhere totally different or some time totally different from the original. Once the whole circle has rewritten their assigned story, it's passed on to the next person in the circle. In round two you reimagine someone else's reimagination of a story. It continues in this fashion until the original writer gets back their own story, rewritten by the rest of the circle. I'm looking for about four other people for this. I know Tokzic and Carbo are interested, so really just two or three more, so this actually finishes in our lifetime. What I'm looking for in a story: Something that can be reimagined, no vignettes, no poetry, etc. Should have a strong plotline, and should be between five and ten pages long. Any longer and it gets impossible for the circle to finish a round, any shorter and there isn't really enough there to reinvent. I know I'll be writing something new especially for this. I'm not planning on starting it for a week or two. So, who's game? |

All applications in this thread accepted except Izzy and MrPop. I'm giving you guys a "maybe".
I still haven't written mine yet, so you've got time. When you finish your piece, send it to me so I can make sure it's acceptable. I don't mean to put you down or anything, I've just never seen anything from you guys. |

FISH REPORTING IN
yeah i've been kicking around like 8 short story ideas for the past few months. I'd love to get one of them down in a story and the 7 others express in someone else's. |

I guess I got really excited to share my works for the first time and then I realized that I don't have any kind of word processor on my computer... Not to mention, I've got to worry about my husband's slovenly ways... I clean up after him on a daily basis... and fix him breakfast... and fix him lunch... and fix him dinner... and give him stuff that he needs... yeah... I'm a housewife with nothing to do... ;_; Wow, my life just got a lot more depressing...

I guess now it just depends on how long it will take you guys to write your stories. I'll have mine written by the end of the weekend. I think I'm going to shoot for starting by Sept. 10th at latest. It can start earlier if everyone gets their **** in before that.
I'm thinking when the stories are done, post them as a separate topic, but put "(Story Circle)" after the title for thread recognition. Each new version will be posted in this same topic. Once you post your story, also post in here that your story is up. |

If you have Windows, you have Notepad.
Start > Programs > Accessories > Notepad If you have Macintosh, Linux, etc., then I'm sure you have equals of such things.

Alright, since I'm pretty psyched about this idea and there's only one story up, I guess I'll extend the deadline until the 19th. This gives you all a week from tomorrow. If nobody else finishes their story, I guess I'll just swap with esup or something rofl.

Okay, well, I have to be "that guy."
Sorry, but I have to pull myself from the project. I have an actual writing assignment type dealie that I have to do for hopeful cash ![]() I know, I know, artists starve etc etc. But cash, people. EDIT: It's not actually cash, but I have a friend that's in with CBS who recently picked up a sitcom she wrote, so I'm doing a script and seeing if I can get anywhere.
