Seizure = not so fun.
Scyther was always my favorite.. well, in the TCC card game.. I used to have this modified Haymaker deck, which was built around the weaknesses of all other types of decks, including Haymakers. I used the traditional archetype (Hitmonchans, Scythers) but replaced the Electrobuzzes with Fossil Magmars and threw in 3 or 4 movie-promo Mewtwos to piss 'em off. Lickitung and Snorlax as walls. Lots of plus powers, remove energies, a few computer searches and a couple Professor Oaks. My strategy was to destroy their basic Pokemon as quickly as possible. I kept my hand full of energy, deprived them of gaining any themselves, and played on their weaknesses. Hooray for cheap attack/low retreat cost.

Haymakers pwned. My pokemon deck went 118-2 before I realized how lame I was.
My Gameboy lineup consisted of mew, missingno, blastoise, and ummmm raichu.... and uhhh snorlax... another missingno. for people wondering what a haymaker is, it's a deck w/ (typically) 12 or less pokemon, less than 15-20 energy, and the rest trainers. you pretty much have pokemon that don't evolve w/ cheap attacks that do decent damage, and trainers to beef your guys up and find other trainers or cards that you need. Typically professor oak, bill, and computer search were staple trainers. The downside to a haymaker was its incredible deck burning tendency, where you might run out of cards before you win (ouch). <3 Prof. Oak. |

You Missingno freaks are crazy. He ruins your save file and stuff and he's not even strong or something.
About the video game: Mewtwo was my standard. I never knew the benefits of physical attacks, but neither did my friends so I could still own them all with my Mewtwo, because they just used crappier Mewtwos. About the cradgame: I use (yes, I said use as in I still play; that is if anyone would play against me) a deck based around bench damage manipulation. Basically I kill your stuff on the bench while you're trying to power up. Also, I have nearly 400 hours on my pokemon gold...

my bad, I phrased that incorrectly-
That's not something to be proud of 400hours=a little more than 2 weeks |

That was when I was really into Pokemon. Never missed an ep (even re-runs). Stayed up all week sometimes playing it. That, of course, was before I started playing computer games. Maybe I should check the last place I saw it... Oh yeah, 1000 hours = a little more than 42 days (6 weeks).

Think that's bad? You should have seen me when I was playing Sonic 2, Sonic 3, and Sonic & Knuckles.
I probably have the equivalent of 5 months in hours playing Genesis ALONE. Too bad they're broken now ![]()

How could you manage to keep playing? On my gold I did almost anything imaginable (ie hatching all kinds of pokemon, raising lots to Lv100, even getting one of EVERY SINGLE pokemon including the unevolved ones). There's even less to do in red, blue, and yellow, because of smaller world and less pokemon.

i've probably played more than that, but i started over alot just because it was boring after u beat it. i'd try and see how fast i could get through the game (which was never that fast, but still). i cant remember my lineup, but i'll go look later and tell you guys allllll about it

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O |

Have you ever heard of the Elite Four? Do you know what you can do with a link cable? PS: How did you beat Gold and get every Pokemon in 400 hours? I did the same with Silver in under 130 hours (30 hours were battling my friends and trading). I beat Red in 10 hours, Blue in 15, but I had nothing better to do so I walked around, beat the Elite Four another few thousand times, captured every Pokemon and other pointless crap (like battling my friends who lost every time). Blue, I think, only has like 20-25 hours total on it, I barely played it at all.

Like I said, I didn't just fill my pokedex, I have one of EVERY pokemon. Even the crappy ones. That took quite some time. Also I spent a lot of time hatching pokemon for to use in Pokemon Stadium. I still have about 50 squirtles that I hatched to use in Stadium (which I still haven't beaten for some reason).
By the way, Elite Four got boring very fast for me. I only beat them like 120 times. I think I'll start playing gold again. I'll try and raise some weird pokemon to Lv100 (like Magikarp )
