I'm aware you guys probably have 80billion topics a day on the asterisk thing, here's another for you.

I realize that you only receive an FC asterisk if it is also your highest score. Check this one out.

Now head on over to my level rank, mods and / or admins, and welcome yourselves to view my best non-AAA level rank: HELLBEAT. Astounding as it is, that horrible boo count wins me a rank nearing double digits because of how ridiculously hard to FC this song is.

No, compare the score you see in level rank and the score you see here.

Why is there no FC asterisk? If it were, like, Bomb the Base or some crap, fine, I'll go get it again first try. I tried like five times on Hellbeat and realized there's no way I'm going through ALL that crap ALL over again when one of you can be so kind as to give me my asterisk manually, eh?

P.S. In case aspects of that screenshot look old, it is old, it's nearly 4 years old. ^_^

Yeah I've been here for 3.52 years or something..... so it's closer to 3 years old, since I didn't start out this good....

sorry bro. gotta do some old fashion dirty work. i had to do it too. i had 12 FCs that didn't count as FCs... 12 songs that I had already worked on for MONTHS to improve and couldn't....

yet since the FC bar a few weeks ago, i've improved 11 of the 12. only one I still haven't been able to improve on is Jelly Roll Blues. I can consistently get better PA than my FC score, but I can't FC it again with that PA that I got 10+ months ago.

*sigh* sucks, i know. but you'll get it again eventually.

Suggestion:
The "your best rank" number has to be calculated the same way as the ranks in "your level ranks". As you have probably noticed, those ranks go up as more people get a better score than yours.
The new rank for a song must be compared to your current rank, NOT to the rank you got for that song when it first came out, and inevitably got a good rank because not many people had played it.
If the "best rank" number was set so that it changed too, this would solve the problem.

Having said that, I realise that this would not completely solve the problem; as it is possible to get a better score while not FCing a song than FCing it.

In conclusion, I propose the following as a solution:
FCing a song should NOT be related to your score OR your rank. It should be a separate calculation all together.

I know exactly how you feel since I've been here for quite awhile as well and have FC'd songs in the past and since I just started playing again now I probably couldn't dream of doing it again for a long while.
But that was before the system was implemented so I doubt there is much they can do.

There's no way to fix this at all? I'm pretty disappointed in the staff then. That score is my highest score and an FC. I'm reporting a bug here, you couldn't take the time to learn how to fix it?
