Re: what happend to the good old days
It's not like there were any more amazing songs prior.
If anything, most of the older songs suck. And remember, as pointed out, some people here don't play SM, so it doesn't matter to them if it's old to you or not.

What I find funny is all the 2006 people in this thread talking about the good old days

Re: what happend to the good old days
Heh, how is FFR like a portable SM at ALL? It's not even close, even with the introduction of speedmods.
Now, if avmissing were to be fixed, the frame system changed, the lifebar modified, the timing windows tightened and lots of other changes made THEN it'd be a portable SM. But really, it's very different as it is.

Re: what happend to the good old days
Btw, FFR wasn't made for screencutting.
The speed mods have always been in the options.. they just haven't been available. So its still pretty much the same just they actually got it working and added it into FFR. Screencutting in the other hand is actually smart. Since there was no speed mods back then it works the same as a speed mod. You see less arrows at one time which gives you the upper hand in focusing on the arrows you do see. So either way its the same I find, I still play both ways equally. But I think using speed mods is better when you make videos, so some of the people who aren't so good and can understand more whats going on. And finally... about FFR turning into SM. Well it kinda is and isn't, all the songs in FFR are made by public, and since a lot of people like most of the new music that is getting added into FFR and like submitting there files in, it will continue happening, most of the old songs on FFR were originals I understand and it was good because you could only find half the songs on FFR. But still, time to move on? Everything changes sooner or later, for better or for worse.

speed mods were NEVER in ffr before now...NEVER...they were just in the options to look nice or something idk but they were NEVER in ffr until now vids? people know youre hitting a bunch of arrows, if they can follow along then they can follow along, if not then so be it. it still looks cool either way i guess i remember when i could get an fc on silence and i would be top 100 (about 2 months ago). now, i have to get an fc with about 30 goods or less on it to even get close to top 100. ffr is basically a smaller version of sm with a better community and jack syndrome. damn you, jack syndrome >_> |

and I remember 1st style, when the timing window was really strict and there were no boos (when you mash it was treated as misses, combobreakerz). |

Re: what happend to the good old days
i came here when parachute clowns was released as sotw, and yea, first time i played i was addicted, stopped for a while, got back with it, and i personally dont care about the changes in ffr, its kinda nice to see a bigger comunity, and i dont use speed mods anyway, cause when i play sm i just use c400 anyway, so im used to slow speeds. and im happy with my scores
but yea, i think ffr IS changing for the better, cause, even though i see the songs in SM, its exciting to earn or play the songs, and see them in FFR |
