It's easy; go to "Generate" on the top menu, then click on "Silence". Then you would type in however many seconds you need of silence. The silence will be added to the current position of the selection cursor.

Tass, is it acceptable if there are stops (i.e. bpm temporarily at 0) in the simfile?
Also, are 8th jacks at 220 and 230 bpm ok in small doses? Seeing how strangeprogram at 215 is full of 8th jacks, I'm guessing you would be ok on that. Would like your opinion on that. Thanks. |

I'm pretty sure 225 is the cap. However, if they fit perfectly they can always remove them with that snazzy program or whatever it is that they use to change the frames. |

Yeah I think past 225 is potential 3-framers in 8th jacks (112.5 16ths is the cap for 4-framers).

225 is the limit on 4 framers. every 8th jack at 225 will be a 4-framer. so, keep that in mind. anything over 225bpm that is an 8th jack has the potential to be a 3-framer. we like to avoid 3-framers whenever possible... see turbulence for why.
if there are only 2 or 3 3-framers, i can manually change them from 3 to 4 framers, but really, i'd prefer not to have to do that. so, be conscious of that fact. and, stops are fine.
