For a PC just hit Print Screen on your keyboard, open up paint, paste, crop, save, done.
For a Mac I think it's just apple+shift+4 select area, done.

on macs you can hit cmd (apple) + shift + 3 to save the whole screen as a pdf or a pict if youre usin a really old mac. it saves to your desktop or your home folder i forget which.
