TOP Players / Tier Requirements Thread - Updated 7/8/09 - Page 58

The only other way I could think of to determine the best players is something like, you have all of the songs AAA'd so your Perfect percentage is 100%. A few goods on some random song would give you 99.2397% or something like that. Then you could rank people by perfect percentage.

That's what I'm doing on my site with my SM scores database (not even built yet).

As a result, current TOP players are quite identical to actual TOP skilled player. Maybe still has a few exceptions, but I think skilled players can easily make a good score if they just play those songs a couple of times even if they are not AAAs.

Not sure how they will be going after tokens are added yet, ranking won't be changed so much by just adding them though.

Requires you to whore dumb songs like TFB & SSSG. It won't work unless you pick specific songs.

But thats what we have right here.

Tokens are still a bad Idea because not everyone has every token.

Ok, I came up with a list of who I think might be the top 10, probably not completely accurate, but I bet it's a lot closer than this list shows, and it's not even close to the same order as your list has them in.

1. Darkshark
2. Shashakiro
3. Bahamut-X
4. Dynam0
5. Jimerax
6. Bill Clinton
7. cetaka
8. dAnceguy117
9. ledwix
10. scottish

Also, for those of us that don't really bother like token/skill token songs, this will REALLY affect where we are. And I'm absolutely never going to bother getting very many more tokens/skill tokens.

smartdude isn't top 10 for just AAA'ing some masters songs, lump. his 3-fingered-ness makes him have far less 6 point reqs done than a lot of people do. but he has some 8 pointers and a few 7 pointers, lol.

anyway, active list, in my opinion:

1. Shash/Rubix
2. Rubix/Shash
3. Darkshark/Dynam0
4. Dynam0/Darkshark
5. JX/Cetaka/Bill/Reach
6. Cetaka/JX/Reach/Bill
7. Reach/Bill/JX/Cetaka
8. Bill/Reach/JX/Cetaka
9. Smitty/Bmah
10. Bmah/Smitty

so much margin for error rofl

edit: oh, and Reach's percentage idea is brilliant, as long as it only had challenging songs and up or whatever.

I don't know why you guys are making your own lists now.

The way I see it, its continue to use this system, use my idea, a perfect percentage and rank among that (like Manti said, we'd be using the same songs as the current system. It'd almost be the same thing), or don't use any system at all and we all just shut up about who is better than who and just play the ****ing game. I don't see any other way to rank people.

Token and skill token songs are just normal songs just like all other songs in the game. You just have to do something to be able to get access to these songs. That's all a token/skill token is. All of which are pretty easy to obtain, especially for all of us since we're all ranked on this list.

Just for determining like TOP 10 people, there's a better indication like this.
It only works for people who can get many 6+ point reqs, though.

Points = 8 * (# of 9pts req) + 4 * (# of 8pts req) + 2 * (# of 7pts req) + 1 * (# of 6pts req)

For people all around, Tier Point system is still a better way.

Right now, yes. In a few days, no.

Remember, if you're using the calculator ON THE SITE, it is inaccurate. So if it says you have 410+ points, you're not tier 1. For right now, use the old calculator.

I have a tier point suggestion D: .5+ or full points for blackflags or something. I bf so much it's not even funny because of spikes and I hardly see why an AAA should be worth a whole point more than a bf anyway. If anything a bf should = AAA score. An AAA definitely isn't worth a whole point more + AAA points than a blackflag.

There would still be incentive to AAA anyway since you get bonus points for lots of AAA's. But this would take away the suicidal feeling you get after playing something a ton of times and then bf'ing and getting no more points.

So just to make it clear, say I BF shihen I'd get 5.5/6 or 6/6 (depending), but it wouldn't be added to my AAA list.

Opinions? XD I see the calculator allows booflags now, which is a really good idea.

a TOP player has to be good on ALL songs. period. skill token and token songs are available to get accessed by everyone. if you wanna be the best, gotta play everything.

Omg, so you're admitting it's not even supposed to be accurate in terms of skill? Ok, this list is pointless. I could be tier insane if I whored everything enough, but I don't really care. And a BF should equal an AAA, since I think anyone who gets a BF is capable of an AAA, and in terms of actual skill, capable of AAA should = AAA.
