Blindreper's just making suggestions on how to play ffr. Much of the terms he coined can be found on the FFR picture dictionary (search for it). IMO, just have fun before even trying to play really well.

I find that the FFR beginner songs are really fun to listen to and play. I really like Driveway (light) and RainDrops.

Hey Shadow!
Welcome to FFR. I play one handed also. This is probably the way you play, am I right? Left arrow = pointer Up and down = middle right arrow = ring Thats the way to go! ^^ If you don't want a challange however, and you just want to get good really really fast, then play spread or index. (You can find these styles on the forums.) Have fun.

Directly to the point. Yes. It is much easier to play in any other style.
Everyone agrees that One Handed play is the hardest by far, as it puts a large strain on your energy and wears you down twice is not three or four times as fast as playing in another style. (As you must hold your hand up in the air, and you must be constantly be moving your position.) But don't sweat it. Only 3 weeks ago I could only pass Brain of the Moon (A song in rock that is very demanding on energy) once! before I was done for at least an hour or so. NOW I can pass it close to seven times in a row, and then maybe two or three hours later I can do it again. If you would like a challenge, then play one handed. If you want the somewhat easier way out pick any other style. (Remember, every other style gets you there faster, but once you master the one handed style, though in probably 10 fold the time, you will be able to do EVERY kind of note combo better then any other style. Though no one has accomplished this yet. lol)

Lol, that'd be like an Arrow God who could do that, Zageron.
I think that maybe it's in the best interest of myself to play one handed, as to significantly improve myself for the future. That way, I could easily beat songs with the other finger methods, as you stated. However, how do you do the other methods anyway?

-One Handed-
Left Arrow: Pointer Finger Up Arrow: Middle Finger Down Arrow: Middle Finger Right Arrow: Ring Finger -Index- Left Arrow: Middle Finger (Left Hand) Up Arrow: Pointer Finger (Right Hand) Down Arrow: Pointer Finger (Left Hand) Right Arrow: Middle Finger (Right Hand) -Spread 1- Left Arrow: Middle Finger (Left Hand) (8 Digit NUMPAD) Up Arrow: Pointer Finger (Right Hand) Down Arrow: Pointer Finger (Left Hand) (6 Digit NUMPAD) Right Arrow: Middle Finger (Right Hand) -Spread 2- Ask someone else. I don't know. You use some program to use the letter keys. I'm not sure how.

Thanks for the list Zageron!
Personally, I think the One Handed is the easiest way. The rest looks too complicated to remember in a game.

Download AutoHotKey
Then use any letters you would like, I use ASKL, for example. Read the tutorial, it helps. |

This should be: -Index- Left Arrow: Index Finger (Any hand) Up Arrow: Index Finger (Any hand) Down Arrow: Index Finger (Any hand) Right Arrow: Index Finger (Any hand) All you do is use your index (pointer) fingers, that's why they call it index.
