That and maybe you are horrible at the game and you can't do hard songs like Dazzling Soul.
The steps were great.

Most of Silver_Brian's files are kinda off-sync...no offense...

FFR's converter accounts for much more off-sync-ness in the game than the actual simfile author's shortcomings. I'm sure Silver wouldn't have submitted a file that was way off-sync to begin with in SM.

the thing is though, a 20 gap off is less than 1 frame. aka, about 50% of the notes would be off 1 frame, the rest would be on.
so, yea.

Is there a way to compensate for the off-syncness? Like, isn't it better if I knew how much gap I would need to adjust to make the file on sync in ffr?

that's ok. i don't listen to your rants anyway.
![]() and, bmah, then it'd be off for testing in SM. i tweak the gap of every single file i convert for FFR... the same amount. usually it works. sometimes it's slightly off. every once in a blue moon it's a lot off... but you don't usually see that because i fix it before i release it.

The only qualm I have with the judging is that the "good file tester" has too much effect on the judging. For example, in this batch, Tass and Shash can both + a file, but JX can +? it and that file will not be queued. But if Tass +es and Shash +?s and then JX +es the file will get in. Both received the same amount of +es and +?s but one file gets in and another doesn't.
Also I still think files +?ed by both judges should be tested by the "good file tester" to make sure that every bit of feedback is given and then the file will be accepted next time.

Whoever good file tester is, Tass makes the final decision of queueworthy on this system.
btw, got a +'d list of this batch from Tass today. |
