11:39 read the above post
12:39 Well this is not an extradinary amount of time i usually go to bed an hour from now and that's when this will get interesting . I just found out I have no caffine to help me stay up does any one know a way to make homemade enery drink?
1:54 sorry about that folks just started chatting on ffr time realy flies other than that i'm still awake.
2:41 Just check out the brag board tommorow
3:47 If your wondering why I'm posting it's so i can stay awake and people wont say i didnt' do it. I'm still awake and my bones hurt.
4:40 I just made my first post on the game board. I hope the admins don't get pissed at me for writing all this
5:35 The cycle in programs has just ended all the morning shows are begining i'm going to make it thru the night this is night one.
6:56 I thought I posted for this hour already but the sunrise was about 6:09 to 6:15 and I'm still awake.
7:50 In effort to save space i'm gonna change this into a little webpage with someother stuff and i feel realy good i have coffe running thru my veins!!! just got the site working it's not much yet but i'ts better than taking up space here

Caution, I don't suggest going more than 3 days without sleep. It may (most likely) leave pernmanent damage to your psyche. I usually only go 40 hours without sleeping, but that's it.

Interesting. I have a friend who frequently attempts to deprive himself of sleep for as long as possible. He has claimed to go more than five days, and frequently does two or three....

LOL, what kind of damage are you talking about?

I know after awhile, you get a nature buzz. But I dont think it causes damage on your psyche.

Yeah I read somewhere that you start hearing and/or seeing things. I'm looking forward to this part cause I have some optical illusional drawings that I want to see how they'll look after being awake 35 hours

I have expirenced what Jewpin is saying after you deprive your body of sleep it compensates let me expain it's kind of like a sugar high after you dont sleep you feel almost invincible like nothing can hurt you and you can breath better but this only last about half an hour then the low hits you and it's a very low low you get knocked out in 5 seconds if your not carful. I am starting to expirence the begining of the high.

I can't sleep for more than 7 1/2 hours or else I am tired with a headache the rest of the day. I've gone without sleep for 2 1/2 days without feeling tired at all. When I finally fell asleep I ended up sleep walking, going into my parents room and yelling at them crazily until my dad just picked me up and took me to my room.

It was pretty weird, I swear I was conscious at the time... but I wasn't making any sense.
I also sleepwalk and go crazy everytime I get a fever from a weird disease.

Good luck with your marathon, no pressure though, if you feel sick, just fall asleep. I bet you'll fail pretty early, I rarely stayed awake long enough to do my homework this year.

i get crazy late at night...anybody who has talked to me on AIM in the wee hours of the morning will tell u this, too.

oh, and i've gone one night without sleeping, but i was fairly tired the next day. i'd try and stay up for a long time again, but my parents would complain about me "messing up my sleep schedule." they're already mad at my sis because she doesnt get outta bed til 2 or 3pm...

Jono's right, actually, about the damage. They've done controlled studies on sleep deprivation, and while timing and actual effects differ from person to person, they all stray among the same lines. Extreme tiredness (duh), followed by that adreneline rush Jewpin was talking about. Soon after the person may feel paranoid and exhibit psychotic behavior. Eventually, all of the subjects became passive-agressive, switching rapidly between schizophrenic paranoia and violence and brief periods of extreme calm. Permanent damage can occur if the experiment is prolonged or repeated.

Wrong. Sugar simply gives you short term energy, it won't keep you awake.

The best thing to do to keep yourself awake is to engage in an activity that requires your attention, but not a lot of thought. Even repetitive actions like using a ping-pong paddle or yo-yoing can work well (that's what they've used in clinical studies).

I get around 6 hours of sleep every night, and it's very difficult getting up. I have to set two alarm clocks in different locations in my room to wake myself up.

I looove sleep. During the summer, I get 10 hours every night. I can sleep until noon almost every day. On days I have work (about 3 times a week), I have to get up at 9:30. Not bad. The summer is just a week away.
