Okay so I'm taking a big break from FFR and I'm going to start playing SM. I'm not too good at MA yet but I'm sure that will improve with time. These are some AAA's I've gotten. All of them are sightread.

Hey ieat, samt0rx, Dynam0, or some other fast person: how do you warm up when you play stepmania? I've found that my MA is complete garbage even on easy stuff if I'm not fully warmed up, and my speed is even worse, but it takes me a long time before I feel completely warmed up, and some days I just can't really warm up as much as other days.

And how do you practice speed? Just play things that are hard to AAA, or hard to FC, or hard to AA, or hard to pass, or what? I'm dumb.

I usually begin with a moderate speed song, like Delirium 1.2x or something. After that, I move on to something faster, like Kasta Sten (maybe rated), #est. Then, I'll play something that requires a lot of simultaneous movement from both hands, like Pleasant Farmer. By then, I'm warmed up for most songs, unless I'm going for a PR on something like Gigadelic. In that case, I'll play something very fast, like...Gigadelic. XD

I play stuff, then I play more stuff, then basically okay..i'll break it down or you

Stepmania is lkike sex, you go with it. You don';t stop until you're satisfied and when you finish is when you finish, whethter by an interruption or by boredom

Also how you warm u is what mood you're in, for instance if you wann play MA stuff to get flexible, you do that, fif you wanna play hard stuff to get ready for endurance, you d that

Ugh, I'm getting sick of trying to get better at jumpstream. TOML 0.9 is as fast as I can go. Any tips, or just practice jumpstream some more?

Just keep practicing. Really, once you get the hang of a certain speed of jumpstream, go on to a higher one, get good at that, and repeat.
