It's pretty much the fact that I have nothing better to do that makes me keep playing this game.

My skill keeps fluctuating wildly from day to day, and it's getting irritating. Everything feels awkward and weird and I can't even read any more. I don't get it.

Yeah it's always been like that for me too, don't know what to do about it. You seem to be improving still though so you shouldn't be too annoyed about it

I tried singles today for just a little bit, a lot of my speed and stamina has diminished and I can barely keep up with something I used to be able to do in my sleep (TOML, Gigadelic, #est...). However I probably won't be playing much singles at all so I guess that really doesn't matter . Only decent score I could get was this:



I also got 26 perfs on Sleeping Terror but I don't know if that's decent at all

I dunno. It's pretty major. My record on TOML is 59/1 and 1 miss, and on the day that I got that, I was getting close to that every run. A couple days ago I tried and couldn't get under 80 perfects, and my worst runs were over 100. Then the other day I was getting 30-40 perfects on 250BPM, and today I couldn't get under 60 or even FC it. I got 4 cb's twice on Moulin edit yesterday, and today I was getting like 20, plus twice as many perfects and greats as yesterday. It's completely random.

I don't think it's a problem with not being warmed up, either. It just feels weird some days, like my reading is completely gone and my fingers just don't want to hit the right keys.

Actually it's probably just lack of sleep.

Yeah that is pretty major. All the songs you listed are speed songs though. I find that at least in my case I can't be at my top speed every single day even if I'm warmed up. When you're having a good day, have you tried all the songs you just listed in the same session? You'd probably do good on all of them.

I'm not sure why you feel that you lose your reading ability sometimes though, don't ask me on that one .

I know, but I keep getting ahead or behind completely at random. Sometimes it's almost as if I'm too warmed up for a song and I start getting ahead. I always get at least 1 great and 1 miss on TOML, always at the same place, and I usually get 60-80 perfects on a good day, but the other day I got 100 perfects, 1 great, and 1 miss, and the file didn't even seem fast or hard at all. I just couldn't MA it.

But I think I just need to play more files that I don't play often or even have never played before, and stop developed idiotic habits on my favorite files.

My guess is that if you play a file very often, your body tends to let muscle memory compensate for some of your concentration. Playing a file over and over will cause that memory to solidify, sometimes resulting in bad habits (getting CB's in the same place, etc.). That's actually what happened to me on Higan on the end pattern, which is as follows (it's 16th jumpstream):

I also have days where I simply can't play at all. Usually when that happens, I'll just do some casual playing on SMO.

I decided to actually download Keyboard Megapack today.

These are most definately the best AAAs ive gotten in either SM or FFR

Actually, I lied. I play this one occasionally. I've never AAA'd or FC'd, and I can't really blame my keyboard for the good. Decent MA though I think.

I also got 2 perfects, both of which were dumb, and 1 miss, which was even stupider, on SeptemEber 1.1x rate first try. I AAAA'd all the streams.

And in recent reach news, I've been letting my sm skill slip, as the only key tapping I've been doing is a bit of ffr. I've lost a lot of my endurance again, but I don't really care. It's too much work to keep up with thaor's endurance, and then next to us bluemystic is like, way down in the toilet when it comes to endurance stuff.

Ieat looks like an up and coming elite sm player though ;o
