Default Have you ever broken a keyboard playing FFR?

I thought I should ask the question, my dad thinks I'm going to ruin the keyboard playing FFR.

So, have you?

Negatory.

You're not playing with your head, are you? If so, I can see his concern, but keys on keyboards are meant to be struck by fingers, as you are doing. I suppose the chance is there, but whatever.

I don't think you can break it just playing normaly. Only if you get pissed and smash it against your head for not clearing a song :/

the only way to really break it is to get liquid in it, and the not disconnect it and clean it out.

I actually broke my left arrow one time. I was playing and I hit it too hard I guess and it popped out half way and it wouldn't go down and as I was playing I kept missing all the left arrow I look and it's not even in the hole anymore XD

I've only broken a keyboard by spilling a juicebox.

Well, the difference is that you're hitting four keys repeatedly. I broke the right arrow key on my old keyboard, actually.

^What he said^

I've played over 200 games in 4 days. My keyboard is bound to get busted.

Buy your own keyboard and hook it up when you play FFR (Make sure it is USB) so your dad doesn't complain when you play FFR.

My old keyboard (which lasted 10 months of Stepmania, 13 total) lost its left arrow key. I was trying to do some jackhammers when all of the sudden it viciously popped out. Good think I have the Logitech Corded Elite now.

I lost my windows key, equal sign, and home button...but that is because I pried them off so I would stop hitting them but accident.

The story of my broken keyboard 6.6

One day I was playing stepmania. I had just downloaded some new stepfiles and was trying them out on heavy. I hitting the keys like a maniac on one song and suddenly my left kay arrow sunk and I heard a click. I grabbed it and pulled it off with ease bacause it had broken off. well now I needed a new kayboard. So while we got one, I set my Z key to be my left key. About 2 days befaore we got my new key board I was going insane once again and my up key broke too. Then I got so mad that I took the kayboard ouside and returned inside with the remaining 2 arrow kaeys that were attached to my keyboard no more. I had to endure 2 days with no FFR or SM, those were the most painfull days of my life.

Older keyboards rock. The only key I am missing is Caps Lock... But that's only because it is useless so I removed it. My arrow keys are in no danger of breaking. And they aren't on a slope between up and down like the newer ones are.

~Squeek

PS - You could always temporarily remove any other letter / number / useless F key and put it in the arrow key's place. If you need it again, just put it back. Not like that is hard.
